Have you ever watched the sunset
Disappear in the water down in Mexico?
The sky on fire melting into the ocean
Man, there's some things that never get old
Have you ever seen a baby walk for the first time?
    It's like watching a sparrow, a sparrow's wings unfold
And when that baby, she smiles up at you
Man, there's some things that never get old
Makin' sweet love to that gal of mine
My first taste of bluebird wine
Eatin' watermelon down to the rind
Any old song by brother John Prine
Sometimes that face looking back in the mirror
It make that mirror, make that mirror cold, babe
But in my heart, oh, I'm a hundred years younger
Man, there's some things that never get old, no, no
I ride into town with some friends of mine
    It's a two-tone Chevy, she's a 59
Ice cold beer in the summertime
Pickin' on the back porch with brother John Prine
Well, I think livin' is one long highway
I'm bettin' Heaven is at the end of the road
And I think love just might be the answer
Man, there's some things that never get old
And I think love, oh Lord, I know it's the answer
Oh, there's some things that never get old

Al Anderson is a great writer!

      joe raines,
Allmusic.com shows Tia (Christina Maria) Sillers as the writer of this song. Was Al Anderson a co-writer who they forgot to list?

      joe raines,
I think allmusic.com has it wrong. Tia Sillers wrote "I Hope You Dance" (Lee Ann Womack), but I can't find any other reference to her and this song, which (Big) Al Anderson has also performed: th-cam.com/video/z9AiFvZlGuc/w-d-xo.html

Al Anderson Vince Gill and Tia Sillers wrote this together

      joe rain,
Thank you. That makes sense. (I'm not sure how to get someone at allmusic.com to uodate their entry for this song.)

This is the song that sounds like the love I had enough of to bring three children into this world back when songs like this were on the radio…1990 1992 and 1997 the years this kind of love brought courage and cherishing and hope. AMD great kids into this world. Who are now young adults and I still believe in them. Thank you for the truth and goodness and Beaty in this song. Inspiring. ❤️

      Ronja2H2,
Thank you for listing the lyrics in the video's description. Could you also please add the name of the writer to give her credit, too? (Without her, Vince would have been up there just humming a tune.) According to allmusic dot com, the song was written by Tia Sillers, but I have not confirmed that independently.
