- If 328 horsepower is much more then you need, for a few years INFINITI offered a 218 horsepower version of its G Sedan, with a smaller 2.5L V6. Having a lower price and slightly better fuel economy, its a logical alternative for the individual who doesn't care too much about how fast you can go 0-60; yet with over 200-hp acceleration will still be brisk. With a identical look to the G37 Sedan, you will have a hard time telling them apart, the only difference is the engine. Lots of equipment available on the G37 is also on the G25, including intelligent all-wheel drive.

My 2011 INFINITI G25 Journey has 182,000 trouble free miles, just normal maintenance as oil and filter changes every 5K, brake pads and battery. It gets 29.0 mpg when driving 55-60 on highway. It still handles tight even with original shocks.
The 2.5L V-6 engine sounds really good for a V-6, it'll get the car up to highway speed very quick, it also requires Premium fuel.
You can use regular fuel, the engine will compensate for the lower octane level. Gas mileage and horsepower will go down a little bit. Dealerships spend 10s of thousands of dollars a month in fuel, they almost never put premium fuel in any of their new or used inventory because its basically just throwing money away. They know it wont harm the vehicles and the customers test driving wont notice the difference. I still put premium fuel in both my INFINITIs because the little extra power and gas mileage means that much to me. The G25 is a rare gem, glad you are enjoying it.
I've put regular gas in my g25x and check engine light came out. Once fuel the tank back with premium the light turned off
@@raygamble2105 If that is happening you could have carbon build-up in your engine, especially if it has high miles. An induction service can really help. Your check engine light should not go on from putting 87 in your G25.

@@jaylanrichardson3623 its the exact same body as the G35s, the only difference is that I have the economy 2.5L 6 cylinder engine as apposed to the 3.5 Or 3.7 L… I have done a muffler delete on my Infiniti and I have to say, even at low rpm’s, city traffic, my car sounds and looks great! They are definitely more “baseline luxury” then something like a Lexus however still prestigious enough and fast enough to be considered a sports car, don’t let a couple extra doors fool you, even the sedans are fast.

@@gantakanata2550 it does not man the g37s do, we have Bluetooth for navigation but not for audio such as music so dumb, I use a little Bluetooth transmitter that I plug into the cig lighter it automatically connects so it’s good enough for me

Check out the 2016-2017 QX50, they added four inches to the wheelbase, most of that is in the back seat legroom. Its basically a crossover version of the G series. Great vehicles!
Is this car reliable? Im looking at a 2013 G25 atm as my first car.
Yes they are very reliable, but not matter how reliable a car may be if it was neglected by its previous owner it might be something you want to stay away from.

Are Infiniti’s considered a sports car by car insurances?
It depends, different insurance companies use different data to generate rates. Some look at horsepower, number of seats or doors, and accident stats for that model. I think a G35 Coupe would probably be considered a sports car by some insurance companies but a QX50, probably not.
Can you use regular gas for g25 ?
Even though INFINITI recommends Premium with all their vehicles you can use regular without hurting the engine, the engine computer will compensate for the lower octane, it will just make a little less horsepower and gas mileage will go down slightly. In fact, a lot of the engines used in INFINITI products are also used in Nissan products and it would a tough sell to require premium fuel when you are trying to compete with Honda, Chevy, Toyota and Ford when selling a Nissan.

Yes. On the outside If it has a G25X badge on the rear of the car it is awd. G25 badge, rwd only.

Yes. There’s a button in between the front seats and cup holder. It will say “snow mode-on/off”. This feature is present on all AWD G models.

Yes it looks exactly the same but underneath that plastic engine cover is a 2.5L V6 instead of a 3.7
