In those times hyundai cars were built to last, the quality of parts used were actually good and that 1.1l engine was smooth and had a good exhaust note,we have a santro xing in our family its a 2003 model and done about 2.2lakh kms and with regular maintenance, it still brings a smile on my face whenever I drive it and at red lights it still wheelspins if I try to launch it,but progress after 110 kmph is slow which is expected of a car of this age,size and engine.
The model in the video made 62hp and 89Nm of torque but the later introduced erlx model made 62 hp and increased 96Nm of torque.
Also try to drive the 2003 model of wagonR it also had an amazing engine,they don't make cars like those anymore.
EDIT: For the AC to work you need to press the circular button labelled as AC in the blower speed controller, there is also a light in the AC button which comes on when you press it.
Having same car but the mileage is too low for a hatchback,getting 8 kmpl in city and 10-11 in highways ,is that the actual mileage or anything can be fixed?
even i own the hyundai santro lp zipplus 2002 model and its really a maintenance free car with a lot of punch

Driving this car for 15 plus years with new Mac wheels jst installed sequential indicators yesterday.. Performance is still the same.. Love this car

Nice ! I use Santro Xing AT 2007 model, drove more than 185000 kms and still running. Drove this car a lot on highways and express way without facing any issue. Must say this was a very good product from Hyundai !
Gears have short throws perfect for city. Apart from starting issue the engine is still alive . How much has it clicked on the odometer?

My dad had a 2004 Ebony Black Santro Xing XS which he used all the way till 2018 (nearly 15 years) and loved it - with lots of Persuasion he agreed to change to a grand i10 Diesel Asta this year.

I have 2003 santo zip plus.its simply no nonsense low maintenance luxury car of that time.
When I gave my car the beans I went up to 150kmph but it's not stable past 100kmph

Compared to other trim levels, it came with all 4 door power windows, remote central locking, rear wiper, artificial glass covering on fog lamps, defogger, manual adjustment for side mirrors and ABS as optional for ₹ 3,86,000 in 2005. Later, there was another variant which had these features and an automatic 4 speed transmission but that one however, failed because the gearbox was too sluggish for any progress on the road.

I definitely think he should give it the beans as in those days, Cielo ruled the roads with its elegant design and powerful engine options. Later, there was also an automatic transmission made available in the GLS variant I guess.
