RARE Maisto Mustang SVT Cobra R || 1/18 Scale Complete Detailing and Restoration

I bought this somewhat rare Maisto Mustang at a very low price because the car and box were not in the greatest of shape. Will I be able to clean it and restore it on time for my best friend Luke's 50th birthday?

Have one I bought many moons ago at a news agency in South Africa. Was the equivalent of about $10. Kept it in storage for a good 15 or more years. Now proudly displayed amongst the other Mustangs.

thanks for the disassembly part, it came in handy because i was trying to invert the tyres on mine (In most batches they were installed the other way around, it seems.)

I remember when I was a kid my dad had those brand cats. I remember him having a 80s Ferrari, a lotus Elise and many more. At the time I didn't know that these cars were collectibles so occasionally I played with them lol

I hope you didn't spend more than 40 USD on it sheesh. I would have given you one of the 3 or 4 I have. I actually swapped the wheels on one & a 2003 Cobra. The chrome wheels look amazing on it.

I have to agree with you. Although the maisto is easier to find, the autoart is much nicer.
