sheesh guys are hard on you on this one =) - let me try to be constructive. Like the video and presentation very clear and structured for a guide and not beating around the bush for 30 minutes - so thumbs up for that. But why does every content creator currently pump out videos with the same build at the moment especially for sorc and claim it is "the best". Ice shards is more or less solved, and this version is not it. 30 mana regen aspect is so bad compared to the 25 mana on cooldown for example (regen increases only the base regen you have and 30% more of 5 a second or so is not a lot). frost nova level 1 for pure ice shard, when the build does only damage on frozen targets.... why not lvl 9 or 12 like the usual builds (or if we talking about "best" then 16 with a shako, not that you need to have one but we are talking about "best" here right)? you should mention that the aspect from the amulett triple dips when a target is frozen stunned AND immobilized (thats the reason the flame shield aspect is taken actually (and also the reason one would swap in meteor) not the minor mobility boost to run through enemys, for that we have dashes and teleport. Attack speed on gloves is really strong for ice shards since it is a big multiplier for all damage - you should mention it - since mana is usually solved by lucky hit and the cooldown aspect this also helps you proccing more avalnche triggers and would also increase boss stagger with frostbolt enchant That is a thing i really like in your build - most people just jam 2 points into firebolt (even though its not needed) - having frostbolt available for pure singletarget can be nice. Also your mentions about defense are spot on. In the end, what you present here is a suboptimal but suited build for exactly a 10 - 20 level above range - not maximized for higher content, not good enough for real speedfarming. I know content creators need to play the "omg look at the best build here" game to get clicks but why not say - "my favorite ice shard variant" or something sorry i do not want to bash but its hard to see the same video everyday and hoping for something cool and in the end its not even on the level that maxroll had up before the game even launched and also not something innovative like the blizzard hybrid variants or the "frostburn, lets play on range only" variant
This is around the 12th or 13th channel uploading almost identical builds claiming they are the "new best spec". Trying to be polite/respectful about watching essentially re-runs on different channels but it gets hard when you just want to find someone that has an actual unique new build. Enjoying the game but realizing the content creators have absolutely nothing to go off of at this point, might hold off the diablo 4 content until there is something that isn't a replay. tldr: build is 99% copied with a couple changes to how the boards are placed
@@nerosback imagine crying about build diversity in Diablo. This game has the complexity level of a toddler's puzzle. There just isn't much available to build/do at this moment. Look at path of exile build... those are fun or creative (mostly). The game is just unfinished to be fair.. Atleast I hope, because the game needs more content.
@@touchthis3372 I justcopied everything in his guide and the actual reason why I was running out of mana was because I wasnt doing enough damage and was casting like 3 or 4 ice shards times just to kill one person. Good note to keep in mind.

Which is weird because I wasn't using Fire bolt enchantment before, and I expected a bit more nafta out of it, but it didn't deliver.. I set my older stuff back so at least my CC is back on the menu. I tried a shitload of builds like this and I'm nowhere near 1 000 000 dmg at all.. If I'm lucky I max out at 125 000 - 150 000/hit. I'm only 98 though, but I just don't think that 1,5 ranks of level would bring me that much power... I don't know what I'm missing..

Since almost 90% of sorc builds use at least 4 defensive skills, I much more prefer to use Prodigy Aspect if there's a need for mana. But in most endgame shard builds , there isn't
I was sick of all the defensive too.. yesterday was bored so decided to try and make a complete toxic rain build. When I cast blizzard I'm now raining 5 different CC's ( Slow, Immobilize, Daze, Chill and Freeze. Add firebolt enchant and its kinda fun. Umbral aspect even at 1 mana per cc...never out..not to mention blizzard ice spikes with a high gear score. Will the ever be true end game or meta? Heck no but so sick of everyone doing the same build videos but taking one different passive to claim the build is their own. Definitely not as fast and damaging as most but wanted to try something different. hilarious in a group play setting.
@nonope4072 Yea blizzard isn't "direct damage" Ice shards would be the only direct damage. I'm really not sure why everyone's blizzard builds are saying to use the fire bolt enchantment when all the damage comes from ice spikes that also shouldn't count as direct damage
Why you didn't take any legendary node? Won't Icefall be an awesome defensive talent that will give you endless barriers since you kill frozen enemies all the time? And another one that gives you 15 lucky hit chance.
Ice shards build doesn't care about burning damage, only that the mobs are burning. I question the paragon board advice and think there is alot of dmg missing on the first board. Look at non-physical damage.
Love the build. This is very close to what i am running however there are certain tweaks here i think would improve upon mine greatly. Cant wait to go home and try. PS , raiment of the infinite hates me, cant get it to drop no matter what i do.
what is the multiplier to get to 1m damage? i have vulnerable at 260 and crit dam at 160 yet the best i can is 500k. my cold damage is concentrated at 550 but i see yours is at 155, is it the the dmg vs crowd control, chilled, and burning?
They finally dropped for me at level 70 last night, they are DEFINITELY BETTER THAN FROSTBURN GLOVES, but depending on the rolls on a good pair of ancestral gloves it’s a close call. Something that you’ll have to decide for yourself by comparison of the two. I will say that I do like the damage from my Fists of Fate so far but I also know that the damage is RNG dependent!!

why using burning ecnhant instead of frozen orb. Frozen orb is perma up and give frost sorc aoe chill and vulnerable all time. Instead of ticking fire dot for 50

When u get to lv 15 there’s gonna be a side quest for skill enchantment and u unlock the first slot after quest lv 30 the second slot will unlock. Assign skill and above ur skills there’s two slot for enchantments

Im a lv 85 sorc doing lv47 nm dungeons WITHOUT any fire enchantment! Pump enough dmg into vulnerable and chilled enemies with paragon board. Im using shard and FROST bolt enchant. Im leaning into a heavy CC build with decent enough defense i will be pushing NM 50s very soon.
@@kimball4699 Crowd control damage encompasses all. Slow, frozen, chilled, stunned, dazed, immobilized all falls under crowd control so its really good to have on a sorc
I for the life of me cannot figure out how he is hitting 600-700k? there is not even +3 to devouring blaze on amulet. I have all three biggest damage boost affixes, the barrier, barrier against vulnerable enemies, and damage to stun, immobilized, and frozen. I have more crit damage and vulnerable damage on my items. and Max i cirt is 330kish. The paragon board doesn't seem to show anything particularly special on to do THAT much more damage. The only difference is i put affix for crit chance based on mana on my amulet so I crit almost 100% of the time. Anyone know the fuck this dude his hitting those high numbers?
Go defensive!! It’s better to do this anyway especially at higher levels. As Sorcs we are extremely squishy and need as much damage reduction as possible!!
Would be nice if these builds didn't use unique gear that won't drop no matter what I do. D4's gear system is complete garbage for the player to obtain when they want something specific.
I dont know your lvl but without unique gear and good aspects, for me firewall build was fun to play. I played it untill i found chest with teleport aspect at... 68lvl. But yea... item system in d4 is bad :/
@@michaoboza9898 Running an arc lash build. Been trying to get a raiment since 54. I'm around 66 now. So much of the game is now heavily invested into RNG. Gambling is a waste. Helltide is scheduled stupidity. I have T4 unlocked, but survival is risky. Most the time I just grind to see rare items and occasionally Sacred. But about the only ancestral items that drop are blue items. Lets not forget the severe shortage of inventory space.

Then you haven't played enough.. Can't expect to get everything with couple days worth of play time. If you do, shouldn't be playing diablo in the first place.
+4 ranks to ice shard is a really good amount of bonus damage and it's also stable with the other gloves you have a chance to do 1 damage as well as 10 million but it's very inconsistent. If you really want to play the glove I recommande a blizzard or arc lash build since you're hitting ennemies so often with those build the effect is probably worth trying but you'll also lose Crit chance - attack speed you could have on a another glove
From pure dmg stand point fist of fate will always be worse than +4ice shard and good affixes and another aspect. 300% fist of fate is basicaly avg 1,5x dmg multiplier. +4 iceshard = 1,28x multi Aspect 1,2-1,25 ( barier or vuln dmg) Then you can have crit, attack, lucky hit So you have stable and more consistant dmg output. Fist of fate are really good for more stagger because you have 2 lucky hit chance to do crowd control
go see NORI who cleared nmd t100 with fist of fate. it has cc built in ie immobilised to synergise with control aspect, stun fr raiment chest and frozen fr nova skill - triple dipped dmg. of cos u could flame shield to immobilise but there is cd.
Doesn’t matter, still worse than all other classes. Lv 100 sorc here. Abandoned the class out of cheer frustration. I’m now at lv 72 with bone spear necro and it’s not even funny how much better it is.
my character is lvl 100 too but i dont do as mutch dmg as you and the only 2 differences are i only have 5 glyps and i dont use vulnerable dmg when i have a barrier, are just thoose 2 things enough to deal like daoble the damage?^^ my guess is yes also one of my glyphs is the more cold dmg one that should be 15% more dmg but mybe its just a bait becasue the more effect for cold nodes seems to be shit
Whats ur total vuln and crit dmg? As well as +total cold dmg and crit %? Usually one of those 3 dmg parts are low when people dp less dmg than they should.
NGL not a good build. Lacking points in Frost Nova and not having all defense skills or an amulet that buffs damage is very very wrong. Need defense? Get barriers….
@@ahwayzcool4630 My RNG has been pretty good. I usually get an updated Raiment chest every 10 levels or so. Though the problem I have is getting the same 2-3 unique.

For the amulet you definitely want the +3 ranks of all defensive skill affix because we are running all 4 of em 😊 be on the lookout its pretty rare so dont miss them
Can you post a screen of your character stats ? Damage reductions and resists? I’m running about the same build but I get one shotted in level 61-70 nm
I just hit level 100 and I respec my build after your build posted here. I have to say I am very disappointed because now I am dead from one shot in NG from level 50 up to 65. yes, I can clear it, but I can't take a punch. I cannot even participate at World Events (bosses) with this build because I die ... ? !? and has a huge mana issues !?!? regards...

build ur paragon, but my glyphs have a lower radius than in ur board, why? cause i cant get the tactican bonus for example, cause there a 2 dex notes not in the radius in my board
I switched off of ice shards. I found it to be incredibly boring. I just switched to chain lightning with lightning spear with frost bolt and ball lightning enchant. CL crits all the time which procs random ball lightnings to spawn on an enemy which is great for nuking down packs. Not sure how well it will scale but at 73 it’s improved clear speed
Is it necessary to have Aspects in same gear versus just having them in the Build? I know that weapon/ amulet give more Aspect control & I get that. Im having trouble with 70 Capstone Boss. #2 is it necessary to have a character to level 70 to get renown to pass to Season 1? Thanks for your time & efforts

It’s without a doubt THE BEST aspect I have for mana regen!! I just wish I could find one with a higher roll than the one in my Codex!!!! That one only has 15!!🤬🤬

and how will you apply the stun? Frozen is not a stun, immobilize is not a stun. You will need meteorites + the stun enchant wich means u sacrifice a good aspect + skill points.. Not worth it imho
I use the flame shield aspect and raiment no need for meteor I don't "scrafice" I don't have mana problems so I switched to 40% stun DMG instead of extra mana 🤷
avalanche key passive + the aspect where it counts for the next two skills you cast. Is all you need, and high lucky hit chance. I have 31% lucky hit, and i can spam ice shards.
u literally don't need that much. This was my starting build, and from 1-70 was pretty chill, no gear requirements. And by the time ur 70, u probably got some gear.
They act as a barrier hence an aspect can say “you deal 25% more damage when u have a barrier” meaning u can use ice armour and then pop the flame armour for a barrier
For the gaunlets can you just do the aspect where it says +25% increase to damage while a barrier is active which means that in general its doing more damage?
most mobs are one shot anyway, the damage buff is nice but at wt3 and wt4 you are going to need croud control or vulnaribility damage to drain them even faster than the damage buff

@@slimeflow926 remember that sorcerers are getting oneshot without putting so much into defense because resistance isnt working so we waste points into defense where we could spent them into dmg etc to run even higher stuff. sorcerer is the most broken class and if its getting fixed then sorcerer will be very good.

I cleared a capstone 70 at level 60 with a very similar build. Really good for early game WT3/4

I’m lvl 46 Sourcerer and get killed so easily with this build. Why?

yea jus dont copy his paragon board. he uses chill damage when we dont even chill as ice shard sorcs..
It’s not even good so don’t worry about it! Go defensive instead.
It’s a good chest probably the best unique that drops for a Sorc since all our others suck, but it’s definitely not a must have for anyone.

On your paragon board. You don't have the legendary node selected with a paragon point. Do you not want to use the legendary nodes?
ya they arent needed for the build. You can get the ones you want though I would get icefall for sure

Where is the damage calculator ?
Best stats for rings are crit chance, crit dmg, crowd control damage, and vulnerable all in one package. Crowd control damage is a slept on stat.

Get more than 100 mana.. Example me i have 142 mana. Everytime i got mana reduction it only takes 1 to 4 mana off total.

Would be nice if these builds didn't use unique gear that won't drop no matter what I do. D4's gear system is complete garbage for the player to obtain when they want something specific.
I dont know your lvl but without unique gear and good aspects, for me firewall build was fun to play. I played it untill i found chest with teleport aspect at... 68lvl. But yea... item system in d4 is bad :/
@@michaoboza9898 Running an arc lash build. Been trying to get a raiment since 54. I'm around 66 now. So much of the game is now heavily invested into RNG. Gambling is a waste. Helltide is scheduled stupidity. I have T4 unlocked, but survival is risky. Most the time I just grind to see rare items and occasionally Sacred. But about the only ancestral items that drop are blue items. Lets not forget the severe shortage of inventory space.
@@FSDraconis I had the same problem but with time my surv get better with dropped stuff from nightmare dungeons. Wish you luck, prob we have to wait for DLC and maybe game will be better as d3... lol Actually i really liked d3 and played many hours with my friends.
I found raiment of the infinite at 64 from nm dungeon.
Then you haven't played enough.. Can't expect to get everything with couple days worth of play time. If you do, shouldn't be playing diablo in the first place.

+4 ranks to ice shard is a really good amount of bonus damage and it's also stable with the other gloves you have a chance to do 1 damage as well as 10 million but it's very inconsistent. If you really want to play the glove I recommande a blizzard or arc lash build since you're hitting ennemies so often with those build the effect is probably worth trying but you'll also lose Crit chance - attack speed you could have on a another glove

From pure dmg stand point fist of fate will always be worse than +4ice shard and good affixes and another aspect.
300% fist of fate is basicaly avg 1,5x dmg multiplier.
+4 iceshard = 1,28x multi
Aspect 1,2-1,25 ( barier or vuln dmg)
Then you can have crit, attack, lucky hit
So you have stable and more consistant dmg output.
Fist of fate are really good for more stagger because you have 2 lucky hit chance to do crowd control
go see NORI who cleared nmd t100 with fist of fate. it has cc built in ie immobilised to synergise with control aspect, stun fr raiment chest and frozen fr nova skill - triple dipped dmg. of cos u could flame shield to immobilise but there is cd.

Doesn’t matter, still worse than all other classes. Lv 100 sorc here. Abandoned the class out of cheer frustration. I’m now at lv 72 with bone spear necro and it’s not even funny how much better it is.

my character is lvl 100 too but i dont do as mutch dmg as you and the only 2 differences are i only have 5 glyps and i dont use vulnerable dmg when i have a barrier, are just thoose 2 things enough to deal like daoble the damage?^^ my guess is yes also one of my glyphs is the more cold dmg one that should be 15% more dmg but mybe its just a bait becasue the more effect for cold nodes seems to be shit
you should google what additive and multiplicative damage in D4 is. this will help you greatly deal more dmg.
Are your weapon and off hand the same item level?

Whats ur total vuln and crit dmg? As well as +total cold dmg and crit %? Usually one of those 3 dmg parts are low when people dp less dmg than they should.

Lacking points in Frost Nova and not having all defense skills or an amulet that buffs damage is very very wrong. Need defense? Get barriers….

Gear that drops, is 99,9% of the time pure trash. This is the loadout i play with aswell, but my gear sucks, soo. 🤷🤣. Guess my luck is beyond shitty😂
Ice shards does 5900 at lvl 5 but frost bolt does 4900 at lvl 1. Are we sure it's not better to put 5 points into frost bolt?
ice shard launches 5 shards at 5k damage each, ice bolt launches 1 bolt

For the amulet you definitely want the +3 ranks of all defensive skill affix because we are running all 4 of em 😊 be on the lookout its pretty rare so dont miss them
Plus Devouring Blaze! Very hard to get a perfect amulet though

I just hit level 100 and I respec my build after your build posted here. I have to say I am very disappointed because now I am dead from one shot in NG from level 50 up to 65. yes, I can clear it, but I can't take a punch. I cannot even participate at World Events (bosses) with this build because I die ... ? !? and has a huge mana issues !?!? regards...

build ur paragon, but my glyphs have a lower radius than in ur board, why? cause i cant get the tactican bonus for example, cause there a 2 dex notes not in the radius in my board

I suppose this wont' work early on where I won't have enough mana regen. Currently sorc around level 60. Have to use the frost bolt for mana regen
I switched off of ice shards. I found it to be incredibly boring. I just switched to chain lightning with lightning spear with frost bolt and ball lightning enchant. CL crits all the time which procs random ball lightnings to spawn on an enemy which is great for nuking down packs. Not sure how well it will scale but at 73 it’s improved clear speed
Is it necessary to have Aspects in same gear versus just having them in the Build? I know that weapon/ amulet give more Aspect control & I get that. Im having trouble with 70 Capstone Boss. #2 is it necessary to have a character to level 70 to get renown to pass to Season 1? Thanks for your time & efforts

Try prodigy aspect for mana gen on the ring instead of regen. I think you'll like it better.
yea that regen aspect is ass since you will always take damage in NM dungos. prodigy is a lot better.
It’s without a doubt THE BEST aspect I have for mana regen!! I just wish I could find one with a higher roll than the one in my Codex!!!! That one only has 15!!🤬🤬

If your good on mana take the 40% to stunned enemies for some extra DMG
and how will you apply the stun? Frozen is not a stun, immobilize is not a stun. You will need meteorites + the stun enchant wich means u sacrifice a good aspect + skill points.. Not worth it imho
I use the flame shield aspect and raiment no need for meteor I don't "scrafice" I don't have mana problems so I switched to 40% stun DMG instead of extra mana 🤷
1. question: why u are NOT consuming MANA. witch perks u have for this
avalanche key passive + the aspect where it counts for the next two skills you cast. Is all you need, and high lucky hit chance. I have 31% lucky hit, and i can spam ice shards.

u literally don't need that much. This was my starting build, and from 1-70 was pretty chill, no gear requirements. And by the time ur 70, u probably got some gear.
I'm not understanding why there are 2 shield skills? Would I use both at the same time or separately?
They act as a barrier hence an aspect can say “you deal 25% more damage when u have a barrier” meaning u can use ice armour and then pop the flame armour for a barrier
for me, i use flame armor only for get out if stuck or urgently need to survive if my ice armor on cooldown..same purpose as Deep freeze
For the gaunlets can you just do the aspect where it says +25% increase to damage while a barrier is active which means that in general its doing more damage?
most mobs are one shot anyway, the damage buff is nice but at wt3 and wt4 you are going to need croud control or vulnaribility damage to drain them even faster than the damage buff
Looking at all those "Best ice shard" videos... Seems that endgame for sorc is around T60.

@@slimeflow926 remember that sorcerers are getting oneshot without putting so much into defense because resistance isnt working so we waste points into defense where we could spent them into dmg etc to run even higher stuff. sorcerer is the most broken class and if its getting fixed then sorcerer will be very good.
I'm lvl65 and I'm having trouble surviving long enough to beat the tier 3 capstone dungeon.
Level 65 is still low level for that capstone

Use Unstoppable currents as a ultimate it gives 200 as for ice shards... makes more sense to do more damage then freeze urself and do nothing

It’s not doing nothing it regens your mana, proccs your key passive, and saves your life and will wipe out an entire screen full of enemies
