I just had to figure out what happens there. The key is Gb although the bass never touches it. However, the persistent guitar/male voc riff keeps reinforcing the Gb throughout every chord. The cycle goes: Cb6 - Gb6/Bb - Db7sus4 - Cb6 - Gb6/Bb - Db7sus4 - Cb6add9 - Bb7(#9b13) with the same notes from the riff hitting the alterations.
I suppose it can work in a certain live context. But in a full CD listening context it sounds like a throw away song...if the other tracks are powerful then this one I would skip due to lack of interest.

This album is giving me a Steely Dan, Tower Power, Yellowjackets type of vibe. I’m happy that she is open to exploring all different types of jazz instead of being a “jazz snob”😁Can’t wait for her interpretation of acid jazz....
