Great songs - Madhumasa velalalo is all time favorite, ide ide nenu korukundi, ee andham ee bandham are good songs. Move story is also good. A decent watch movie
I missed the titles of the movie and watched entite film .. Then traversed back to the titles of the movie to check the directors name.. Its singeetham Srinivas Rao ..the most under rated legendary director .He knows how to run the show.. Jayaprada married to the producer of this movie .sreekanth nahta ..
A bold subject discussed in those day itself. Really it is a challenge. A variety role for Kanta Rao. Ranganath character is an epitome of values. A character of that status as depicted in the movie can get N number of girls if he though so that way. But he stood for some very good values. Important game changer is Kanta Rao's move to become friend with his own son-iin-law. Initially, he mentioned that getting a good son-in-law is like getting a good son. What is the realization is it is important to become friend with him. Children see their parents and mould themselves. Jayapradha as Padma in this movie is kept away from that. The film has touched many valuable points.
I did not like the ending life of Deepa, (hero gave her father promise) and showing jayaprada heartless. Deepa married changing her mind by jayaprada would have been better.
with all due respects to Singeetham sreenivasarao , EXPLOSIVE SUBJECT, BEATING AROUND THE BUSH TREATMENT, in addition to ending one charector (deepa, killing of one imp charector , is like looking for easy sympathy ) seems made the required resolution weak,insipid. this is the difference between hollywood and others.
Still brave treatment to the story line for a movie released in late 70s... Same subject in hollywood wd have been semi porn with intimate scenes and swaping of wives . So dont need to compare with seudo realism of hollywood .. The sad ending of deepas character is a big minus of this film . Maybe it was intended to bring ladies to the theatre .. All are good but rajshree played a special role in this movie
