  • What will happen to Social Security if you retire in your 50s and stop earning a wage? And you don't start until 67 or Full Retirement Age?
Social Security benefits are based on your best 35 years of work history. On your Social Security Statement, you will see the amount of your benefit IF YOU CONTINUE WORKING until your Full Retirement Age. But what happens if you retire early?

Hi. You mentioned a scenario where a person may change (at 0:42) careers to something less stressful. Can you do another video where you share that scenario? At age 54 I'll be going for the less stressful and less income option till i have to take my sep and my social. Thank you.

Question, define retire early? The company I work for (tier 4 employee) is 30 years of service and age 55. Assuming I reach 55 I will have 32 years of service. I should not be penalized between 55 and 62. I will also have access to my deferred compensation at age 55.

At the 6:25 mark the difference (rounded) is $300 not $400 ($3,200 - $2,900). Keep the videos & info coming. Love your channel

So I’m looking at retiring at 58, from the USPS. With 36 years. 33 years of good wage history. I will get a part time job. Will that help my estimate when I collect at 62? And will that part time work . Replace the lower income years. When you were a teenager

This is for starting SS at 67? I’d love to find out optimal time for withdrawal. Prefer 62. Thanks!

What happen if I have accumulated 40 points of social security credits and have work for 31 yrs and now retiring at 50, my highest earning was 420,000 in 2011 and my last year salary was 150,000 a year . How is that gonna affect my ss benefits
    At 62 - 2,455 a month
    At 67- 3,500 a month
    At 70- 4,500 a month
How much less will it be ?

The biggest question is, will social security be around in 10yrs when I’m ready to file?
