I’m not gonna lie when Deegan was coming into this sport. I thought he was gonna pretty much just ruin the sport. I was 100% incorrect. He is pushing the sport to the next level and making the sport 100% better.
Honestly, I wouldn’t consider Smith or Forkner faster than Deegan at SX anymore. Deegan has made huge progress since 2024 SX, winning outdoors and dominating SMX. He’s gained speed and learned how to perform when he has to. He’s healthy now too. Older. Smarter. He’s a hell of a lot faster in the whoops now too. That was the only area Smith was faster than Deegan in SX. Deegan was faster everywhere else on track, and I think it’s safe to say he’s gotten even faster now. I don’t see a smith or Forkner beating him. The kid is too tough.

Here is how I see it. Deegan every sense his first time as a little boy. Brian probably said something like. Ok son if this is what you really want to do. I'll do all I can for you. If when you practice each and every lap you imagine your in a race ok. If you can only do two laps in that mode just pull off and we will build up on that. It has taken that mindset with doing just that all his life to go out and do what he does. So he really doesn't know any other way. That's the little details that separate the greats from just being really good. Also with that in mind. He has had cameras on him from the beginning. That is also huge because they are normal to him. Not to mention being at events watching his dad do interviews. Brian kept who he is real on and off camera. So there was no pretending to be someone you're not. They are racers not actors. I could be way off base. But I strongly believe something like this plays apart somewhere in some kind of way.
Of course it does 100%. It’s in his blood, no pun intended lol. And being around the guys in the back yard when they were getting ready for Xgames many years ago. His mother straight up said that she put him in his pack & play and he’d watch all day everyday so you are right about him being use to certain things that are thrown his way.
You make a good point about Jetts biomechanics on the bike. Do you remember that old show where they hooked up sensors to show the position and force by professional athletes? I wonder if some day they could do something similar to truly see how a rider of his caliber differs from others using a similar system. Magnetic based sensors to track his body position relative to the bike and tracking the loads in various axis of both him and the bike itself to understand just how he manipulates himself based on the conditions.

New to your channel and, I appreciate your insight on motorcross. I am old school 80’s, 90’s 2000 and now. You have to understand that the bike is so much advance and changes yearly. Theses new comers like Jett, Deegan, Hyman and kitchens is that the bike is easier to ride and set up.. my opinion is that the older riders are suck in their old habits and having a hard time keeping pace with the bikes advancements. It’s just the way it is. And that’s why most riders don’t last more than 10 years At best and, if they do its not like there fist 5-6 years. There is going to be kinda of a stagnant of talent in the next few years. It always happens every 7-10 years in motorcross racing. Watch in 2026 when all the big names move on, lose rides, or retire. I could probably say 6-8 riders you see now will not be racing after the 22025 season. Now, for my pick to win it all. 250 definitely Deegan but, if he get hurt. It’s going to be Fortner. 450 it going to be the best racing people ever seen in the last 4-5 years. Jett is the best but, I look for 4 riders to be with in sticking distance come Las Vegas. 1. First off thank you for your love of Jesus . Big props brother .. second... i see Jet beating Jet this year. Last year he took the scene by storm and was able to ride not only with his talent but also with the support of the crowd. Yes there were some races that he was given some boo's but he didnt have time to really sit and ponder what was going on do to the constant preparation for the next race. This off season i have witnessed something different. He has had the time to sit and read the comments of the haters and i have noticed a definite change in jet. His fun going attitude has changed. He isnt as happy go lucky like a kid with an ice cream cone. He is irritated and rattled. One thing about sports and professional sport is that you can be the best thing since sliced bread and have the talent of a small "g" god. But if your head isn't in the right place all that talent isn't worth crap. It will be interesting if he can get his head put back together. Look at Paris supercross . We were given a glimps of this. He wasn't a 100% settled in his mind and we watched Webb put on a school of how your mind set can make the different outcome. Now with what happened for the Australia Open and the rumors of what he and his brother did about not having certain riders show up to compete .... hmmmm ... well that has some repercussions that his mind wasnt ready for. And if you are questioning that ... well look at the interviews with him since all of this has gone down. He is allowing it to take up real estate in his brain. Jet has made a point of bringing this up in every interview and you can see in his eyes that it really bothers him . If jet was older and more mature of a person i dont think it would be that big of an issue. But being how young he is he hasnt develop that mentality to use it to his advantage yet. And for that i see the 450 class having the door left open for many other more experienced riders to take advantage of it. Mental confidence makes the difference of winning or not at this level. Its that last little piece of the racecraft that makes a true champion and allows the rider to push just that extra inch to make the difference. And right now i see jet struggling with this. So if Jet gets out front i could see Tomac , Chase , Webb, ect having the needed confidence to make the difference....

Danger is on a new level beyond his 250 peers... It's going to be a challenge for anyone else in 250 West. Jett is beatable... But his technique taught by Johnny O, and derived from other greats like David Bailey, JMB, Lechien, McGrath... just something the other guys need to learn and adapt their style to... what's working best... as Jett clearly showed us all the fastest way to ride a dirtbike is the smoothest way. I’m a deegan fan but I would love to see Austin Faulkner do good I would love to see him finish a season and with his head he got lucky that he had that crash he had a blood clot and if he didn’t have that wreck he could’ve died so I’m rooting for him but Deegan is my guy
Unfortunately Smith tried Deegan while with Star and it did not go well for him. He may FAFO during SX this year and I believe it will end up the same way!!! Love Smith but he does not have the grit to play the long game against Deegan.

Love your videos found your channel over the last year looking to get another bike to get back on the track with my kids haven’t been on track since 2009-2010 05 crf250r was my last bike I raced mainly locally I live 1 hour south of Atlanta Georgia also miss supercross coming to Atlanta in Georgia dome ever since the new stadium we can’t get good supercross back in Atlanta or a lot of north mid Georgia everything is all the way near Carolina border or Tennessee or the Florida Georgia line love to know of any forgiving vet style tracks or decently kept mx track that are still open the closest track I used to live 35 minutes from Bremen before it shut down in my area anyone in the comments hit me with your recommendations for tracks willing to drive bout 2 hours any more and it won’t be able to go very often looking for something local, east Alabama is only about 40 minutes from me as well just asking if any of you guys had any practice tracks and or race local level events hopefully I can still hold down the back of c class probably going with Suzuki rmz250 or 450 really depends on what I find for good price that I can afford to get a good bike to start back weekend racing again just always loved the sport just got burned out after so many injuries been a long time but I’m ready to get back at it

Doubt it, he raced him once and was all over him before forkner crashed out. That was haiden with a week on his bike and a wrist brace. This year is deegan with a full off season of training and testing, healed wrist and the confidence from getting a MX title and dominating smx. That said I hope forkner is good, I want battles.

Unfortunately Smith tried Deegan while with Star and it did not go well for him. He may FAFO during SX this year and I believe it will end up the same way!!! Love Smith but he does not have the grit to play the long game against Deegan.

Love your videos found your channel over the last year looking to get another bike to get back on the track with my kids haven’t been on track since 2009-2010 05 crf250r was my last bike I raced mainly locally I live 1 hour south of Atlanta Georgia also miss supercross coming to Atlanta in Georgia dome ever since the new stadium we can’t get good supercross back in Atlanta or a lot of north mid Georgia everything is all the way near Carolina border or Tennessee or the Florida Georgia line love to know of any forgiving vet style tracks or decently kept mx track that are still open the closest track I used to live 35 minutes from Bremen before it shut down in my area anyone in the comments hit me with your recommendations for tracks willing to drive bout 2 hours any more and it won’t be able to go very often looking for something local, east Alabama is only about 40 minutes from me as well just asking if any of you guys had any practice tracks and or race local level events hopefully I can still hold down the back of c class probably going with Suzuki rmz250 or 450 really depends on what I find for good price that I can afford to get a good bike to start back weekend racing again just always loved the sport just got burned out after so many injuries been a long time but I’m ready to get back at it

@tankeater if I was deegs, I'd take the last starting gate pick and avoid Mitchs henchmen at all costs. The BS Mitch had going on last year was just what I expected from him. Hopefully, he's done with risking his riders well being for his personal delusions.

Doubt it, he raced him once and was all over him before forkner crashed out. That was haiden with a week on his bike and a wrist brace. This year is deegan with a full off season of training and testing, healed wrist and the confidence from getting a MX title and dominating smx.
That said I hope forkner is good, I want battles.

He certainly wasn't "much" faster. Also, if you've seen the deegans' videos, 2025 deegan IS much faster than 2024 deegan.

Same goes for Forkner. Both amazing riders with the potential to win titles, but you have to have the entire package. They don’t.
