I have the Colt competition in .38 Super as well. It’s a nice combo , the 1911 and .38 Super. Hands down it’s my favorite gun. I run CorBon 115 grn at 1425 fps and 525 ft lbs of energy. The sights are nice but I’m a night sight guy so it’s getting XS night sights. Also I changed the grips to hogue grip panels with mild palm swells. Excellent

I do have 45 Stainless still competition series and it comes with the blue grips like what you have. But I like the grips that you installed. Is that colour gray? Will you please give me the exact name or code of that grips? Where should i get that one?

I loaded 7 rounds in my Colt 38 Super Competition Series but it jammed after the 1st shot. I loaded it with 4 rounds only & it performed smoothly. What could be the problem?

@Jorge Reinante you mags might just need to be broken in. Try leaving your mags loaded when you lock your gun away, so that the next time you go shooting, the springs have had time to losen up a bit. This won’t hurt your mags either

Ok Jorge , here's an answer , as I don't know what the malfunction is I can't give you a specific answer. It could be ammo, mags, new gun, inexperienced shooter (not gripping the gun properly etc), find a reputable gunsmith or a competition shooter who uses a 1911, preferably in 38 super, as they probably have considerable experience with the specific CALIBER and malfunctions of every type.
