It so sad to watch countries used to be well-established crumbling. I used to work in a posh hotel in Dubai with many Lebanese, they are beautiful people. They used to be very proud of their beautiful country. I hope they will find peace and progress again.

US must remove sanctions and allow Syria to rebuild - UN expert
    29 December 2020
GENEVA (29 December 2020) - UN human rights expert Alena Douhan today called on the United States to remove unilateral sanctions which may inhibit rebuilding of Syria's civilian infrastructure destroyed by the conflict.
"The sanctions violate the human rights of the Syrian people, whose country has been destroyed by almost 10 years of ongoing conflict," said Douhan, UN special rapporteur on the negative impact of the unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights.
"The conflict and violence have already had a dire impact on the ability of the Syrian people to realise their fundamental rights, having extensively damaged houses, medical units, schools, and other facilities," she said.

I didn't know that some people are living in terror like this. Are arabs and muslims not this united? It is a strong nation that can achieve whatever under the sun only if they can unite and be selfless. I just can't wait for the rapture through Jesus Christ the MESSIAH.

Maybe people can convertwhatever fiat currency they to blue chip crypto (btc, ada eth ltc) to try and retain purchasing power. I know it comes with risk. The sanctions on Syria have to end. My thoughts are with these honorouble of lebanon. I am truly sorry.

question for you smart economic folk. Why dont they drop their own currency and adopt the euro or the dollar? Just like Ecuador did for instance. Would that not solve their problems? I mean they are already extremely dependant on the economic flows of other countries, it would do no harm right?

Dollarizing the economy is what collapsed lebanon. The thing about adopting a currency that you have no printing control over is extremly dangerous. Plus if the strength of the currency doesnt match the strength of the economy its also rly problematic as it can emulate another greek collapse elsewhere.
