Thank you so much for all the time and effort you made to make this video. It is a very informative and well done engineering video. It was really very helpful to understand the concept and to see a proper measured comparison between the oem and a cheaply made copy. Most appreciated. 🙏
If I want to replace, what part numbers do I need exactly? Just 14520-KYJ-901 and 14560KGH900? Also is it just a case of unscrewing one and putting new one back on or any other care that needs to be had?
@@JoaoMPSilva13 Hi sir. I don't encourage do-it-yourself. This channel is for entertainment, or for those who already have knowledge in the field. A DIY hobby, like any other hobby, costs money and does not save money. It's the cost of the tools, it's also the cost of your mistakes, etc. Sir, your questions are good. You have to keep the plunger locked in a "short" position until the tightening of the screws is complete, and only then release the lock, and let the plunger jump out. There are videos on TH-cam where you can see the whole process from start to finish, try to find such a vid.
Hi. I am currently with the automatic. According to popular opinion, the automatic is replaced every 25,000 km. The manual requires more professional attention, and inspection at shorter intervals, but it does not wear out, it is for life time. The problem with the manual is that the damage may outweigh the benefit, you need to know how to adjust it. The manual can be built on the basis of the automatic tensioner, when the dowel is replaced with an M6 screw and nut. To create the manual tensioner yourself you can find instructions on the cbr250r dot com website.
In the video I do a comparative test. To the best of my knowledge it is customary to replace the tensioner at 25,000km, but when I disassembled the two used tensioners I found no evidence of wear or any other malfunction that requiring their replacement. I recommend replacing every 25,000 km because that's the custom, and not because I understand why. Maybe because the spring weakened? I do not know. I know this is customary. Not because of noise, although it seems after the replacement that the ticking noise from the valves decreases, only that it is not clear if it is an imaginary psychological effect, or if it is a real noise reduction. Sorry that's the answer, that's what I know.
Thanks for your comment. Is it possible that I use my own voice, yes, in principle it is possible, but it is not the artistic style in which I chose to present my work.

Actually I have replaced tensioner that too i completed only 28k
Knocking sound remains same sometimes
I didn't understand the video and what noise does the engine make when the bike has a problem with the tensioner?

@@mycbr250rdmotorcycling7 I understand now and thanks for replying!
You should use your own voice ...and stop using this background music it's too high pitched and irritating
