I visited Santo Domingo in October..it's a very cool place to visit, the impression that I got is that they're nationalists and they definitely love and rep their country, the good and the bad...the way they drive is definitely an eye opener!!😉
There is a lot of room for growth there. Too many motorcycles on the road, hopefully this will change as they expand the train networks.
@@JEstherDuran yes they def need a train station
no they not it's most of fake pride. I'm Dominican and if my ppl would love there country they would not let themself oppress from those Arabs Lebanese who are over the country. it's a fake ideology of so call Spain pride meanwhile the dominican government bought money from the US. majority off black ppl are brainwashed with this mix nonsense meanwhile lighter so call dominican getting all the better jobs. majority of so call light ppl are Arabs Lebanese north African imigrant that came her in the 20s. we have a lot of immigrant they ain't dominican
True, we’re very patriotic
@@LORDWILLIAMSON_ there are train lines. They’re expanding them actually.
It's wonderful that tourists visit and review our beautiful country. Particularly in Santo Domingo city, you can find some good stuff. Thank you for visiting; please continue to enjoy and learn about our culture, food, and interests.

@@DionsTravels oh sorry about my spanish. My parents. Brought me to USA but my level of life was better in DR than here where many People think the money fall from the sky.

Welcome to my country 🇩🇴💕
Gracias 🙏🏾 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Dominican Republic is the real deal. Best place to vacation or retire if you want your dollars to go farther. However, knowing your way around the DR is a skill that needs to be learned and it takes a bit of time and some help so videos likes this are very useful. 🤫
It’s kind of expensive there though
@@harrydaloc9112 it really is, I’m from there and I feel broke in DR but maybe that’s because I enjoy myself too much there 🤣🤣
Dollars will go far in Asia and its more social for FBAS in Asia! I would say visiting is okay, but retiring nooo!
Thank you brother for visiting my country. I feel very good when people visit and have a good experience. I am Dominican but I live in the United States now.
Just wait till my next video it’s lit

You're very funny imitating dominicans. Welcome to my country bro.
I love the Dominican flavor 😂
Good explanation of what to expect. I agree with all points made

Santo domingo is not wakable at all, but if you want to go to an area that is walking friendly you should try zona colonial, and go to the Paque Duarte there is always a bunch of people, also the parque Mirador Sur, peoples plays baketball, baseball and football down there so youll end up having a good time tho
btw its so true that we dominican are being fresh all day lol
This is one of the best contents I have seen about the DR. I discovered you through Razor Raze. Keep up the good work 🙏🏽
Love these comments thank you so much
The fact that a foreigner immediately noticed the class difference is a problem. As a Dominican I was really discouraged last time I visited because people would straight up ask me “what are you doing traveling with those people” just because i have a light skin and dress differently
I am from Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
Hey..its feel food when people like you love my country...
Hey man klk tanks for coming to my country ✌✌
Just ran across your channel bruh. I am American and have been living here in Santo Domingo for over a year, and I absolutely love it. Also I don't speak Spanish, but I have a translation device that works amazingly. If you wanna link up we can do that.

Good video bro 🔥🔥
Thank you for visiting my country. Hope you can one day go to Punta Cana, Casa de Campo or Las Terrenas.
DR is in the top 10 of all Hispanic American countries with high GDP blah blah. I think it's 7th place above Argentina. Which is understandable, Argentina is always going thru some economic crisis and scandals. Lots of Argentinians want to leave their country, their currency is always deflating. If you save up 500 pesos by the end of the month is basically worthless. Like, you can't save up money there. I remember back in around 06 bunch of Argentinians immigrating over here. DR and Panama are the highest or faster rising economies and would have been more if not for the Asian related "cough" scare. There are hardly ever any catastrophic weather events like earthquakes or hurricanes. Puerto Rico usually is our shield and eats most of them. The most recent worst earthquake on the island was back in 2010 and that was on Haiti's side so we dodge that bullet also. But a big strain in our economy is the illegal Haitian immigration/invasion and the corrupt politicians, entrepreneurs/business owners that allow it to happen for cheap labor. No different than the US with "mexicans" or latinos and then media and usual suspects try to use the oldie but a goodie narrative of "Americans/Dominicans don't want to do those jobs that Mexicans/Haitians will do". I'm all for Hispanic immigration between each other but Haiti is a different culture, it's not Hispanic. But global entities, NGO's etc want to push all their progressive all inclusivity agendas on us, and we're fighting back against traitors in our lands and media.
I hope you liked it there... next time visit santiago de los caballeros that my hometown city... is the second city of Dominican Republic...
I loved it
You say that the Dominican Republic is not a welcoming country, it is because you have not visited the neighborhoods where the people are very warm and would give you a lot of affection.
Dices que República Dominicana no es un país acogedor, es porque no has visitado los barrios donde la gente es muy cálida y te daría mucho cariño.
I know that now! stay turned for the next episode next week i go to the neighborhoods and i love it
The good thing about DR, it has a growing middle class, the area you are in is upper middle class, you would need to visit Santo Domingo este to find the middle class
Thank you for visit DR my Brot
Cool vibes Dominican Republic to the World

Hi there! Just like you mentioned you look Dominican, that's why the people didn't notice you or not, by the way you're lucky you didn't got robbed while you where recording 😂
Good stuff man! Dominican born and raised. Truly enjoyed your video.
"You know I got the good hair, too..." 😆
Is there such thing as "good" hair? If so, what would be considered "bad" hair?
I visited in September an went back in December. I was alone both trips. In December I had the time of my life! Met a beautiful lady on tinder an we hung out at zona colonial an the rest of the time we just watched movies an ate at bars an resturants! The women are beautiful there! Going back in March 😉
Def beautiful women
How was that March trip, brotha?
Sure u llok like one of us!!!...Welcome to my country and city!!!
Look * 😄
😂😂😂😂😂
Man’s traveling the world!
DR is the land of freedom as long as you follow two rules. No Drugs and don't mess with a woman that has a man. Both will land you in a bad situation. Other than that love it out here. Saludos de Prado Oriental!
I did neither so it’s all good 😂
I agree
There's a well stablished middle class in DR
keep in mind these are my first impressions of walking around for two days Ive been here for a month or so now so I def learned that lol
Welcome.
Been there plenty. Never stayed at a resort. I go to Agora mall often and Zona colonial
Check my recent video i went to the hood with it
In DR there is definetly middle class andit's majority of the population.
Thanks for the info
I like when you sais you have noticed that there is not middle class , do not know why but on my side sounded super funny 😂😂😂😂 in Latin America. Either Poor or rich. Ok let me explain, he thing is that middle class people are super divided 😅 but of course there is middle class, poor, and high class in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 but trust me I did understand what you meant to say. MOST of the people on that mall are middle class but the thing is that There are like three different middle class people. 😂
I learn that in next weeks episode when i went to the neighborhoods stay tuned my guy!!! Keep in mind when i do first impressions i make my own guesses. I know i don’t know what I’m talking about but that’s the beauty of traveling and getting to know a culture 😂😂😂
@@LORDWILLIAMSON_ i get it, i truly do 🤣🤣 it is complicated to explain. hehehe it was super funny you saying that.
@@leopoldomedinataveras7583 thx for watching
his right there is no real middle class . most ppl tethering from the US, most ppl get money from dominican who living in the US and Europe. if you would take away western union you would see how fast the middle class will trop down.
@@raquelrichardson6362 omg. that is not right ahahahahah. there is middle class the thing is that it is divided into three or four different middle class. that thing about the money is real but not literally like that. you are wrong. i am dominican, I live here.
Thanks 🙏 For Coming to My Country It’s a Beautiful 🤩 Video
My pleasure
Yooo i liked this video, my 1st time on ur channel and i say this was 🔥. That uber driver seem gangsta and real . Keep it coming bro. Love the santo domingo video!

Do you have a video on how you were treated overall? Many people spreading rumors about mistreatment of African Americans visiting DR.🇩🇴🇩🇴
I will in a few weeks.
He looks like another Dominican.
@@Kronflax He sure do. That’s why that whole thing is stupid. But as a Dominican myself we know the difference between us and Americans because we behave different. That’s about it.
@@_mattynavarro And that video hopefully went viral in the United States so that people can get rid of that rumor
African American or Foundational Black American?, it's a difference, anyone can be an African American..that term is dangerous because all black Americans are not African, some are Black Aboriginals and have been here! Only 3 percent of slaves came into America, an all the rest went to the Caribbean, Carribeans are more African than us because North African Arabs that were Moors colonized the DR. from Spain and brought slaves here to the DR! My people are Foundational Black Americans my people built America and are not immigrants!#FBA
I am going to Santo Domingo in two weeks. Hopefully it is dope. How do you travel around?
Welcome to DR.

did you try out the metro/subway?
Should have went to Agora mall , more variety. Also , I feel like Santo Domingo you need a vehicle . It’s a huge city .
First mall he goes is the most fancy and expensive one. XD

Since the late 90s the middle class in DR has seen a huge increase. Definitely not your 'ether rich or poor ' place. There's a very large middle class and even the average poor gets by with some help from their relatives in the US. Fun place.
