@@Cenacles Luke was a hero of mine growing up,...but he's not perfect, he's a Jedi school dropout with a battlefield promotion to Jedi, who clearly didn't learn from his mistakes in ESB because he didn't go back to Yoda until it was too late to complete his training. Thus his school was doomed to fail. His broken hero arc is synonymous with King Arthur's (another childhood hero of mine) late in life troubles, and quite franky, I love that connection between the two heros. Luke's progression in ROTJ from ESB was unexplained and unearned, and his arc (not to mention personality change and dialogue) was unrealistic. TLJ Luke's arc made much more sense and was far more compelling and his death heroic and poetic, most likely because it was made by a storyteller, not a toy salesman.

Also you are just conveniently representing/warping things to suit your own narrative. Please explain to me how it makes sense the man who would rather throw down his lightsaber than kill DARTH VADER, because he sensed good in him, would literally ignite his lightsaber with intent to murder his own nephew? Why would Luke abandon all his friends and family, the people you yourself point out he was prepared to do anything for? It’s just inconsistent and lazy. If you’re familiar with the broader EU, you’ll be familiar with the character of Jake Skywalker. That is not Luke. I waited decades to see my hero again with my family and instead we had to watch an egomaniac desecrate one of the most beloved characters in all of cinema history.

See in Sequels the Characters that they itroduced was COOL but the problem is they never get a GOOD STORY Lines that all old characters got.. For example at the Beginning when AHSOKA TANO Character was introduced People critisied that character but eventually now AHSOKA is one of the Best Characters in Star wars BECAUSE She got a good storyline from CLONE WARS Series, REBELS and Tales of the Jedi... in the same way if REY PALPTINE Got a good storyline like Ahsoka then People would appreciate her character instead of HATING So much.... Prequels and Original triology was made on low budget and don't hv good visuals BUT They had a PERFECT STORYLINE.... which DISNEY Always failed even though they have lots of Budget
