The real reason is because he's not performing against other drivers like loeb, solberg and grönholm consistently , he only up there 4 or 5 rallies of the 16 rallies. And the reason he had 4th in a championship. Because marko martin didn't compete the remaining rallies due the death of co driver Michael Park. If that tragedy in Wales didn't happen marko and Michael would have 4th in the championship. Plus a young finn mikko hirvonen was impressing in his private 2003 ford focus and he was up there with with loeb, solberg, grönholm and other guys , he won point was leading a rally back in Greece that season which gardemeister has never done that season and it was the first time a privateer lead a rally for awhile . He even beat gardemeister in finland when he was his teammate on 1 rally although due to the fact gardemeister had a puncture end day 2 . Hirvonen was even quick in the skoda back in Japan before his gearbox and off . And he had his first podium in spain which impress ford to resign him
I remember this was the year Speed stopped covering WRC in the US so I began buying home recorded rally highlight DVDs on ebay but the guy got shutdown about 4 rallies in. WRC did such a horrible job for US fans in the early 2000's

They say the 307 is wider than the others but it's not true, they are all 1770 mm wide, the 307 is longer than the Xsara tho

No Opel in Junior WRC anymore. Sometimes, I miss the Opel Corsa S1600 in Junior WRC.

Duval shouldn't never have left Ford... A 4 year contract instead of 1 year with Citroën...
