May I ask where did you take off with your drone to not get harassed by people when you got your Coit Tower shot? Last time that I tried to fly by Coit Tower but couldn’t. I really would appreciate your response Thank you

I love this video! Something I want to do is fly my drone out in the city. I have a bigger drone so it wouldn’t be as discreet as yours to fly around. Awesome video!
funny how San Francisco gives off the impression of a true big city metro more than los angeles although it's way smaller. Better architecture thriving downtown and more towers and a true defined city center.
Having lived in/visited some big cities (London, Paris, New York, LA, Shanghai etc), the first thing I thought when I got here was how small a city SF is, so I wouldn't say I ever got that impression
I was comparing San Francisco to Los Angeles only and not other mega cities across the world. That being said I'm comparing it to other large U.S. cities so London Paris and Shanghai are completely out of the equation. But you are right it is small but that's why it feels more urban because instead of sprawling everything out over 460 sq. miles like L.A. everything is pretty much located in the urban core which gives it a similar feel similar to east coast cities like Boston or New York. Manhattan is a narrow 24 mile long island but for the most part the urban core of New York is Manhattan. Los Angeles has a very small downtown and many tourist come to L.A. and never even visit downtown actually because the main attractions are elsewhere. Hollywood isn't downtown, neither is West Hollywood, nor is Beverly Hills, nor Santa Monica, nor Universal City which makes los angeles feel more like a suburb than a true city. Los Angeles is HUGE but there's no defined center. Example in New York people go to Manhattan on 4th of July to watch fireworks. In L.A. they go to long beach Pasadena Santa Monica etc etc. San Francisco is located on a small peninsula similar to how Manhattan is on an island. You cross a bridge from Oakland to enter it and it has a vibrant densely populated downtown that people actually go to. If you go to San Francisco as a tourist you are going downtown because that's where the action is where as when you come to L.A. you are going to a dozen different suburbs that are entirely disconnected from the core of L.A. The small size of San Francisco works to it's advantage whereas the large and vast size of Los Angeles works to it's disadvantage. The compact size of San Francisco makes it feel more urban similar to cities on the east coast.
Yes, I agree with that and was going to point that out in the initial reply but somewhat decided against making an essay out of the response. I do feel over time, San Francisco will face the same fate as the other cities and become a metropolis that sprawls all the way to down San Jose, as they continue to build up the gaps currently in between the two
yes it's actually one of the largest metros in the U.S. I believe when you add in the entire bay area. I just find it more appealing than the ever ending sprawl of L.A.
Golden Gate Park is a national park and a no-fly zone. Crossing 101 (Bay Bridge) is a big now way also. Don't give drone operators a bad name. Nice edit and video anyway =)

Took off from the base of the tower itself. It was very early in the morning so there were very few people around to be disturbed

Can you fly drones in San Francisco?
There are areas of San Francisco where you have the full capabilities to fly drones within the FAA guidelines. Some areas need special permissions
