      I don’t think that’s possible.

    Please make a video on "how to transfer cloudways hosting to another cloudways account"
    Note: I need to deliver website with hosting login details.

      This is actually quite easy, but you need to have the site on its own server.
      If it’s not on its own server, spin up a new one and clone it over. Then you can just click on the server and choose Transfer Server.

    Cloudways was ok. I don't know if it was a coincidence but I did notice a huge drop in traffic when moving from Siteground. I ended up leaving Cloudways for A2 with LiteSpeed and honestly it's way faster

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  ปีที่แล้ว

      The traffic drop after migrating to Cloudways might have been caused by changes in server location affecting site speed, differences in server configurations, or even unrelated SEO factors. It's great that A2 Hosting and LiteSpeed are working well for you, providing better performance. Keep an eye on your site's performance, SEO, and user experience for continued success. Good luck with your website!

      @@dave-swift I made sure it was the same location (city). I must say though, I loved Cloudways interface compared to Cpanel. Also their customer support is was better than A2. To be honest the advantage I'm seeing is mainly due to A2 having Litespeed. I wish Cloudways could offer that - I asked, they have no plan to

    Hi. Love your content!!
    Do you recommend WordPress for hosting technical docs?

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Advait! Thanks.
      It certainly could work, especially with a plug-in like BetterDocs (profitable.tools/betterdocs) [affiliate], but there are also definitely better platforms out there.
      These days I'm really into get tools that are specific to the job.
      I like wiki.js which is free and open source. You'll need to setup yourself, but it's not very hard. js.wiki/get-started

    Do you still get support help with this like with shared hosting? Is that $26 per site with what you did?

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Cloudways has great support.
      I would recommend one site per server if you’re doing e-commerce or an LMS but there are no limits. You could put as many sites on that server as you want.

      I used cloud ways for most of my sites before. Was pretty happy with performance and all the options that can be changed yourself in their wonderful interface. For woocommerce sites I still prefer Rocket or Kinsta primarily for live chat support. They both offer exceptional support that can handle issues and resolve them In minutes. As someone that wears many hats in my business, it's nice having that kind of support when in a jam.

    can i enter my old email from my shared hosting when purchasing the email or how does it work

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you can use the same email address as your shared hosting. You'd want to use their Rackspace add-on. It's $1/month per email address.

      @@dave-swift I’m saying will it conflict when it’s in 2 different areas

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you're talking about using elastic email to send, it won't conflict. You can send from multiple apps with the correct DNS settings to authentic DKIM & SPF. Make sure to also set a DMARC record so that emails sent without authentication are handled properly.
      If you're talking about maintaining inboxes with Rackspace and your old host, you're correct. You'll need to choose one or the other and sent your MX records to the inbox you want to use going forward.

    • @Digitalcataloghub
      @Digitalcataloghub 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dave-swift I mean I have the email in my current shared hosting plan so I’m wondering if I buy it if it will conflict

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have answered your question already :) there will be no conflict.
      You can only receive emails to one provider, so change your MX records when you're ready to switch.
