Brett needs to be careful. She mentioned something about Sally being a tassel dancer (tassels are another word for pasties) 17:27, BEFORE the contestant gave her answer.
No H/H match today! This week we have Fannie who's earned a very good rating in the H/H match, and Bobby Van, who has a 1-in-3 record (33.3%) which isn't awful (it's a bit better than Richard's current score). Gary has only been chosen once (successful match), but when he doesn't even come up with an answer to the audience match, it doesn't inspire much confidence for a contestant to choose him. And of course there's Brett who sometimes surprises (her score really isn't much lower than Richard's). I've always found myself matching her a lot both on the regular questions as well as the H/H matches. The only wild card is newcomer Adrienne Barbeau who seems like a sharp player... Here's the updated leader board showing the 9 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: Orson - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). Betty - 54.2% (13 wins in 24 attempts). Charles - 45.7% (16 wins in 35 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts). Fannie - 41.7% (5 wins in 12 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Richard - 32.1% (53 wins in 165 attempts). Brett - 30.8% (8 wins in 26 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 356, excluding the lost/missing episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325. (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!")
I could swear his girlfriend is that contestant that comes on later that was a playboy model and worked at a ski resort. It's her teeth that told me. The ORIGINAL What's my Line? I just finished watching it for the fist time (it only took me 2 years), and I don't remember EVER seeing Fannie being on that show!
I have the answer for you. It was one of contestant Karen Robbins relatives. The proof is in the very next episode of MG 74... At the moment she wins the tie breaker, (sorry for the spoiler) the very same person lets out the same maniacal scream. Fanatical, to say the least.
Adrienne Barbeau and Fannie Flagg...that would have been my dream date in the '70s. (Yes, I know, Fannie is a lesbian, but I didn't know it back then.)
The panelists were/are performers, and they were in performance mode when the camera was on. You can't really assess anything about them personally from their time on Match Game.
Charles Nelson Reilly was not officially out of the closet at the time, but I see that that didn't keep Gary Burghoff from making his tooth fairy joke.
Also love how Gary Burghoff reels Gene in at 13:44, as he starts gawking the incredibly gorgeous Adrienne Barbeau. In this case, despite his overall lecherousness, I guess I can't blame Gene. I'm sure he'd like to be down her front!! Wow, Gene was really obsessed with her front!! 15:04. Makes me reminisce about an answer Patty Deutsch once gave, "FRONTALS".... Toooo much!!
I know I`m probably being offensive, but I have been skipping over the episodes with Burghoff, because he`s sooooooooooo ANNOYING. Can`t wait till C.N.R. comes back. They seem to be using Gary as a fill in all the time in Charles`s place. Couldn`t they find another semi permanent replacement? I always liked Nipsey.
@@amberola1b We just had a week with Orson in chair #3, and a couple weeks back Richard Deacon was there, so it seems like they're trying to alternate a little bit and not just rely on Gary.... But I'm watching the shows in order, so I don't know who they'll have on between now and CNR's return on #471. -- My hope is that they'll continue to bring in other fill-ins such as Nipsey and McLean, but honestly, I'm getting used to Gary and he doesn't seem at all annoying to me.
@@m.e.d.7997 I've watched every episode from the first until now I'm at episode 476. I don't think that Brett or Richard have missed even one episode. It’s not the same without Charles.
Really. I miss him.
He was off doing a broadway show. He came back to match game afterwards
Thank you so much for continuing to up load theses game shows ! I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed them. Bless you MatchGameProductions
I found Adrienne and Fannie extremely charming, delightful, and lovely ladies. 🥰

Thank you so much for these reruns of intelligent ,funny shows!!! Todays shows 😢 not so laughable.
When Fannie said “mother” at the end, listen for Bob’s girlfriend in the audience. She lets out a blood-curdling scream!

Philadelphia question, today most answers would be sports teams 😮
Fannie wore that sweater on an episode of What's My Line when she was the mystery guest.

I said shuffleboard as well, because it's a comon game played aboard a ship.
Never was a fan of Brett Somers, except when other panelists ragged on her... That said, this may have been her all-time best answer ever. @11:19
Third time I've seen Gary give no answer for the super match. He doesn't even try, or care. Another reason he's horrible.
How in the world was Philadelphia Eagles not one of those three most popular answers? It would be for sure in today's society.
Shuffleboard" was a very good, very logical answer. It's a game that's played on ships.
And in bars and retirement homes. LoL
Dang! That scream at Fannie's answer at the end was weird!
Yea and scared Fannie was as well, did you see Fannie jump.. ;0)

Seat six is a girl, I don't if I have ever seen a boy sitting on seat six!
Bobby Van I wonder did Bobby drive a Van?
Amok Scrabble game word?
Amok Scrabble game word?
it's always boy girl boy on the top row and girl boy girl on the bottom row
Way back in the early days of the show, they messed with the seats and reversed them… Richard Thomas sat in the 6th seat that week.
Adrienne Barbeau and Fannie Flagg. The bottom tier was "loaded" if you know what I mean. 👀
Bob is a cutie.
Yes very 70s macho
Gary always seemed to be trying too hard. Fanny is one of my all time favorites.
I said "oven" too!!

Karen is 66 now, still with her husband and still looks gorgeous!

Philadelphia Eagles is a great answer. Too bad they asked abuncha un-athletic nerds.

Many others were worse
