Errol Barrow and my great uncle Clarence Ward (Colored) was very close, he was his right hand man, Clarence was the brother of my grandfather, John Linton known as (Goldbead ) and of Stanley Linton, who own the family workshop next to the DLP headquarters, on Roebuck Street…I met this great man, speaking here, when i was a young girl..

Education gives you wisdom. Know when to fight and when to walk away. Such a daring sharing of personal truth.

This is the stuff we need to do for Barbados and global Africa go to other countries in groups and transfer the skills so we can thrive. Engineering, sciences, architecture, agriculture need to be transferred all over our communities.

My father gave me a great deal of first hand reports about the greatness of this man. This is the first time I got to see him.

I spoke to my mum, as she's a Bajan, and she told me her uncle, Sergeant Blackett, knew and spoke of him, because their professions crossed paths,
Sadly, I read through the Internet he had passed just recently on the 11th July 2016.
I wished I had met him, this interview was so refreshing and inspirational.
RIP Sir Frederick (Sleepy) Smith, and condolences to his family and friends
