Awesome recreation! Easily one of my favorite Touhou themes, you should do her final spell theme too at some point if you get the chance. This is great by itself though, amazing job!
I love this theme with its mournful yet fast-paced tempo. While you might have thought the recreation to be more "open to interpretation," I actually like it more that way as it changes the expression of some parts of the song while still having an authentic feel to it. It's for that reason many of the EoSD recreations have been my favorite so far, especially Patchouli's theme.
