During my university lecture, I always dont get this y+ concept and kinda ignore it. However, when I tried to run turbulence CFD simulation, then I notice there is this boundary layer that exist that needed to be treated differently with a finer mesh in order to capture it.

but I've heard that too low y+ for example in k-epsilon model makes the simulation invalid!

Use your chosen grid and develop two additional grids, with y+ equal to 5 and 50. Show
how you calculated the first cell height and discuss convergence and the results of these two
grids. What is the effect of y+?
how to solve this ques..my case is periodic hill imcompressible steady state
