@@danabecky3012 Hmm... but the non sequitur isn't a point about the accuracy of the first statement, it's about how the response is not related to the first statement. You know how non sequitur works, right -- the reply _does not follow_ from the first statement.
I don't think it was a non sequitur, because you neglected to acknowledge the statement between the two you mentioned. "- and we just think that's great" was the statement that follows from the statement about half of the people being ladies. "So we're trynna give something back." followed that, and does so logically. They want to give something back, to show their appreciation for all the ladies. Each of those statements follows logically from the one before it.
The best part about FotC is how much they sing songs about wanting to sleep with women without degrading them. They express attraction, but they don't demean.
They're always learning. As Jemaine aka the Hiphopopotamus once rapped, “Yes, sometimes my lyrics are sexist // But you lovely bitches and hoes // Should know I’m trying to correct this”
Parlour guitars are an oldskool blues thing. Like a classical but with steel strings (and tuning rods/pegs to accommodate the heavier strings). They match 12th fret with the neck/body joint like a classical, but play more like a steel. Many companies make them and your local shop should stock at least a few. I prefer the dobro over the parlour to be honest, very similar design but a better sound.
The show had a lot of guests that night, so it ran long. He had only a few seconds to thank all the guests and wind up the show, so he made a joke of it by talking faster than he could pronounce words
i like the musicality difference and its so awesome to peak at the different versions. imagine the others out there! i would buy up all of their music good or bad
It was pretty daring of them to be singing a song that had anti-war themes, even if it was comedy... The crowd didn't really laugh in that bit even though it's funny as.
bret is a really good guitarist, has such a nice feel for the instrument
That's an Academy award-winning producer for ya!
Kids are looking at this thinking we had 1970s resolution on TV only 10 years ago.
"Is that physically possible?" LOL
As an average looking lady, I love this. Finally a song written for me!
🙂
Don't downplay yourself. Out on the street you'd easily be in the top three. Depending on the street.

They are so underrated. When this happened it was amazing
I love these guys!! They’re amazing and they are fantastic musicians
OMG, they're actually really good singers : )
I cant believe this was 15yrs ago!!! Where has the time gone? 😔
"Is that possible..?"- the best part.
"If every soldier in this world put down his weapon and picked up a woman... what a peaceful world this would be"
these guys are so fucking musically intelligent it's amazing they're so damn funny
Hard to believe this was thirteen years ago.
"We've noticed that wherever you go, about half of the people are ladies."
"So we're trynna give something back."
I do love the non sequitur.
Au contraire my dear Watson. It is very logical, their audience is in majority women si they have a special dedicatión for us.

OMG are you really debating over their banter???
Jermaine the Austin Powers of New Zealand.
Jemaine
You know, I think you finally helped me figure out who he reminds me of.
why are ALL Flight of the Conchords videos in bad quality?
Cuz watching this in 2018, they're all old :)
They're old, when 1080p or 720p wasn't the standard.
Thats just how they look in real life
They were taken on Jemaine's camera phone
@@uncleboi123 Murry uploaded them on NZ Consul wifi back in 2007.

Jermaine kind of looks like Jeff Goldbloom here.

It’s Jemaine, but kinda yes
Yeah, I see it.

The even funnier thing is they never sleep w them
Degrading women is wrong. Upgrading women is okay though (with my D). You know what I'm sayin? What?
Yeah.. Anti macho gold..
Actually, sometimes their lyrics are sexist.
2019 still funny
Nice song.
THey should have had their manager with them, he is the best.
There're so funny and good vocals
Amphibian!! Oh my god!!! The tears! 😂😂
love you guys😘
i love Jemaine so much!! :D
the guitar Jemaine is playing is awsome, does any one know, who makes this guitars?
I don't know the brand, but that style of guitar is called a parlour guitar
It's the La Patrie Motif !
Thanks man!
isn't it a 3/4? La Patries are from my hometown, I never knew we were making good guitars till I bought mine

Its impressive that they are doing this in front of audience and not cracking up.

Jermaine is so hot
His features are too deep set to be considered classically handsome, unlike Brett.
literally the funniest shit I’ve ever read, paul
I like how they dumbed down all the lyrics for the talk show audience.
How do they keep a straight face?

Parisian . . . Ladies
Namibian . . . Ladies
Amphibian . . . Ladies LMFAO.
That's great. Also, thank you for clarifying what he was saying, I couldn't tell.
Is that physically possible?
@KZBProductionCo So not only do you probably pronounce "Thing" as "Think", you spell it that way too.
The crowd just simply did not laugh anywhere near enough, and that is a scientific fact.
To be fair to them, they played the song so fast, they were on to the next joke before the previous one landed.
The days of 240p
i want to do the the physically impossible with jemaine and bret!!!
maybe they could double team you?...
lady man lady
2 people were listening to the music and not to the words....

So Fallon and Timberlake ripped off these guys?

It’s so weird how today they would be considered offensive and probably couldn’t go on tv 2018 is so shit
It's somehow worse now in 2020 😔
