For anyone who wants to try, they will need more research than this magic video, strawberries don't flower/fruit the first year, people need to know the substrat, the kind of strawberries they are using and lots of love and patience, and if it fails, never stop trying. For those who say the seedlings, yes that's right, not strawberries there, which makes me wonder what other steps are misleading on this video. I would do more research on the coffee grounds too, most gardeners wouldn't recommend coffee grounds direct on the pot but rather use them in a composting bin. Overall, this video is still inspiring.
Yes, you've made several great points! Strawberries grown from seeds typically don't produce fruit until their second year. The first year is usually spent establishing the plant and its root system. The type of strawberry plant also makes a difference. For instance, June-bearing strawberries produce a large, concentrated crop in late spring to early summer, while ever-bearing and day-neutral strawberries produce smaller crops throughout the growing season. Coffee grounds can be beneficial for the soil as they add organic material and attract beneficial microorganisms. However, they can also make the soil more acidic and should be used with care, especially around plants that prefer neutral to alkaline soil. Composting coffee grounds or using them in a worm bin can be a great way to get the benefits without potentially harming your plants. The video is indeed inspiring and it's always good to do additional research to get a full understanding of the process. Gardening is a journey of continuous learning and experimentation. When it comes to dealing with bugs, there are a few strategies that can be employed. It's always good to monitor your plants closely and regularly so that any infestations can be caught early before they become serious. For small infestations, physically removing the pests (like picking off caterpillars or beetles) can be effective. For more serious infestations, there are a range of pesticides available, including organic options like neem oil or insecticidal soap. Encouraging beneficial insects, which prey on the pests, can also be a good strategy. Examples include ladybugs and lacewings, which eat aphids. As for the growing medium, it's generally best to use a high-quality potting mix for growing strawberries, especially if you're growing in containers. Strawberries prefer well-draining soil, so a mix that includes perlite or vermiculite can be helpful. Incorporating compost or a slow-release fertilizer can also help provide the nutrients strawberries need. Strawberries do like full sun, and should get at least six to eight hours of sunlight per day for the best fruit production. If you're in a very hot climate, some afternoon shade can be beneficial to prevent the plants from getting too hot. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the video! Best of luck with your strawberry growing. 🍓🌞🌱
Thanks for the compliment, I will try to do better and share more great tips for growing strawberries and other plants at home Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. Wish you a lot of health!💋💕💕
Why do people only focus on baby strawberry plants without noticing that you can apply many good fertilizer methods to your garden? The idea of coffee grounds and tea grounds is very good, I am very impressed with that. Please keep making better videos, I'm looking forward to them
hese weren't strawberry seedlings. their cotyledons are not heart shaped. It's literally useless to lie just because he's too lazy to actually wait 2 weeks to get REAL strawberry seedlings
Do they need to be taken down in the winter, or are they safe to leave up? Great video! Shows you can grow your own food, even if you live in town. Thank you!!!
Strawberry plants are resistant to very cold temperatures. Leaves may dry after a frost, but the plants will sprout again. Mine are outside in minimum temperatures of 2 or 3 °C below zero, and are doing ok. Check local varieties of you can.
This is continuous drip watering or do you give them a little break in between bottles? Not an avid grower but I did manage to grow carrots and beets with success so am hooked.🙃
The watering method I use is indeed continuous drip irrigation, but you can adjust the watering rate by changing the size of the holes in the bottles. It's also good to let the soil dry out a little between watering to prevent overwatering and promote good root health. Happy gardening! 🌱🍓💦
I bought the soil for planting in the agricultural store, if you can't buy it, you can mix the garden soil with a little organic fertilizer and shredded coconut.
Loved the reaction, they are a great band. I've seen them twice. The are from Melbourne Australia. Another band I'm sure you've had requests for is Ne Obliviscaris, also from Melbourne. 6 piece extreme progressive melodic death metal with a violin and one hell of a drummer. Guarantee you've heard nothing like this. Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope live in Denver is a good starting point.
Я и не знала,что из незрелой клубники вырастают уже через 7 дней целые пучки чего-то крестоцветного судя по семядолям,а через 30 дней опять превращаются уже во взрослые кусты клубники!Чудеса для диванных садоводов😂😂😂
It does indeed seem that there may be some confusion regarding the growth stages depicted in the video. It's important to remember that real growth rates can vary greatly depending on the variety of the plant, the growing conditions, and the care given to the plant. Strawberry plants generally take longer than a month to grow from seeds to mature plants. The process includes the stages of germination, establishment of seedlings, development into mature plants, and then finally fruiting. This can usually take several months rather than just 30 days. While time-lapse videos can provide a great visual representation of a plant's growth, they can sometimes give the false impression that plants grow much faster than they do in reality.

I tried doing the exact same thing thing summer on the balcony. The number of berries was around the same, maybe even less, but they were microscopic. The size of a penny maximum. I felt completely discouraged. So much work for hardly anything. Late in summer they got infested with spider mites. I took them inside in October and started to treat them from the mites. In the end only 2 have survived. No visible mites so far. I am planning to take them outside in spring again.
It's hard to diagnose your situation exactly, but the amount of direct sunlight , soil quality, fertilizer type ( mainly nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, also known as NPK) all contribute to the success of patio-grown strawberries. Just keep at it to find the right balance. I imagine this individual had to go through some trial and error process as well.
Strawberries need to winterize so they can sleep in order to regain energy for growing another season. Keeping them indoors is not good for them. If you are worried about mites, you can put 1/2 inch of sand on the surface of the container with the strawberries. You can also use neem oil or neem powder or insecticidal soap.
@@ritar923 There is a problem with overwintering on the open balcony. I live in Siberia. Just recently it was - 35. There are actually some wild species of strawberries in the forests here, but even they overwinter deep under snow with soil being on all sides around the roots, not in an exposed pot. However, my Siberian pine and larch bonsai that I grew from seeds I picked in the park overwinter just fine this way 😃
Great question! How often you refill the bottles will depend on the rate at which the water is dripping and the climate in your area. If you're in a hot, dry climate, you might need to refill the bottles every day or every other day. In a cooler, more humid climate, you might only need to refill them every few days. Overwatering can indeed be an issue with drip irrigation systems if not properly managed. However, the goal with this setup is to provide a steady but small amount of water, which can help to prevent overwatering. The soil should be kept consistently moist but not waterlogged. You can check the moisture level of the soil by sticking your finger in it - if it feels dry a couple of inches down, it's time to refill the bottles. It might take a bit of trial and error to get the watering schedule just right, but with some observation and adjustment, you should be able to find a balance that works for your strawberries.
Thank you for your comment. It's quite an interesting observation, isn't it? The magic of nature and a bit of gardening know-how can lead to some surprising results! However, let me clarify that the seedlings you're seeing are indeed strawberry plants from the start. The appearance of seedlings can vary based on numerous factors including the variety of the plant, growing conditions, etc. 😊🌱🍓
Can you tell me what type of glue you used to connect the ripe market strawberries to the plants? Also I am amazed at how the strawberry quarters turned into bok choy seedlings in 7 days then they turned into strawberry plants in 30 days ... how did you do it, that's amazing.🤮
So glad!
Absolutely gorgeous. ❤🍓🍓🍓
this is so cool! its my dream to grow strawberries like this, what soil did you use and what season did you plant these? tysm! new sub :)
I believe strawberries are usually planted in spring / summer months
I bought organic soil from a gardening service store and used coffee grounds to make the video more interesting.I planted them in the spring. Thank you.

HI! Just curious about your soil mix and climate! How often do you fertilize? I would love to grow strawberries that keep producing. Thanks!
evie2 produce 3 times per year. In order to know when to fertilize, you have to first monitor your PH. Maintaining proper PH is important for best results

What do you do about bugs? Also was that just plain dirt you used??? Do they like full sun ☀️
Loved the video
Beautiful Upload friend. keep it up. Thank you for sharing this to us. Greetings from Korea
Thanks for the compliment, I will try to do better and share more great tips for growing strawberries and other plants at home
Thank you for watching and supporting the channel.

You are brilliant 👏 😀 🙌 thanks for sharing this 😀
Beautiful video, thank you!
Looks so delicious I love it
Thank for visiting.
Why do people only focus on baby strawberry plants without noticing that you can apply many good fertilizer methods to your garden? The idea of coffee grounds and tea grounds is very good, I am very impressed with that. Please keep making better videos, I'm looking forward to them
Thanks for your positive comment
Because sprouting strawberry seeds is difficult. It is deceptive to show what looks like radish sprouts and call them strawberries.
hese weren't strawberry seedlings. their cotyledons are not heart shaped. It's literally useless to lie just because he's too lazy to actually wait 2 weeks to get REAL strawberry seedlings
@@darkorosqc990 I thought that was a little suspicious that the leaves looked so different, and I'm a total novice
@@justsomenobody889 honestly, the worst part is that he could have juste shown a picture of REAL strawberry seedlings instead of lying like that xD

@@ZanddyH even in the containers he's using? Thank you for the info!
New flowers, or young fruit will freeze below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, new buds that haven’t opened yet can with stand colder temps
I don't know about in containers but I have strawberries all over my gardens and they survive Canadian winters. Temperatures below -15C.
wow amazing from where is he from what country /city,surely a cold weather country where strawberry is abundant im from Manila Philippines
I live in VietNam
thanks for the tea and coffee ❤

Awesome! Highly respect you for your hard work and innovation! 👏 🍓 ❤
This is continuous drip watering or do you give them a little break in between bottles? Not an avid grower but I did manage to grow carrots and beets with success so am hooked.🙃
@Hello there; how are you doing this blessed day?
@@GeorgeMorgan6600 Doing okay, thank you!
@@victoriawilchcombe6785 how’s your day going and what’re you up to?
The watering method I use is indeed continuous drip irrigation, but you can adjust the watering rate by changing the size of the holes in the bottles. It's also good to let the soil dry out a little between watering to prevent overwatering and promote good root health. Happy gardening! 🌱🍓💦
This is incredible!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate it!
Hey what's your garden mixture soil ? Please give details. Thank you in advance❤️
Your video made me appreciate farming even more. I'll definitely follow your channel to learn more!
Muito lindo seu trabalho ❤️

However, my Siberian pine and larch bonsai that I grew from seeds I picked in the park overwinter just fine this way 😃
Какой ты умничка! Продумано всё !Спасибо большое , что поделился! Всего наилучшего тебе!

Unique method of growing strawberries. I will apply this method
So nice of you
I have a question..how often should i fill those bottles up?i mean if it continues to drip water wouldn't be overwater??
@@greengarden8042 😊thanks
It's cool how the non-strawberry seedlings turned into strawberry plants.
Waste of a perfectly good strawberry fruit
