Yes, there is a second one | Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus II

- The Maus is an easily recognisable vehicle, marking the largest and heaviest production tank of WW2. At nearly 200 tonnes, the Maus, fully loaded and ready for combat, was a feat of engineering which lacked a purpose by the time it was finished. Despite having been ordered into mass production, Allied bombing had slowed deliveries and then all but a few hulls and turrets were finished when the project was scrapped. Even though the Maus was effectively dead as a project by November 1943, the story for the vehicle and even for a possible follow-up ‘Maus II’ was far from over. Maus II would not be a new vehicle, but the improvement of the first design, most noticeably in the turret.

Don't speak to me or my son ever again :D
and that one weird cousin E-100
Hey iron!
Sir, now I really find you everywhere I go on TH-cam. Neat
Wargaming: *interesting*
Gayjin: Hell nahh
Very interesting those pictures with Maus hull and turrets and a tiger I turret on top of them, along with more curved parts of same turrets
'Edited by ya boy Jim Zawacki'
hahaha love it :D
An excellent presentation, best I've seen.
E 100 Bunker here noow
What is it with repeating what has already been said?
Bad idea from beginning. 128 mm gun needs such monstrosity? Waste of resources. How many Hatzers you could produce for cost of this monostrocity?
Right
bob semple
so its maus with e100 turret lol
No. E100 has Maus 2 turret.
you repeat yourself a lot
Sorry to nitpick but there is a mistake in the title of the video its not Panzerkampfwagen VII but VIII
That is correct and corrected. Slip of the finger.
Fascinating, can't wait to see it in world of tanks as a premium tank that you get from 6 different marathons at once
and at tier 8
Or you can have it now for 7 easy payments of 149.99 plus a final charge at stage 9 of 229.99.
Well it looks like Wargaming actually interpreted the E100 as having the improved maus turret. Only the hull was completed leaving the E100 turret design a mystery. There are multiple other ideas like something similar to earlier prototypes from 1942, but wargaming used an existing turret. Some even suggest an ordinary Maus turret on the e100 hull.
@Very burnt toast ok?
its a terrible loss, that the E100 was taken by the uk +then "disappeared"
This is getting out hand. Now there are two of them!
You fool! This isn't even my final form!
E-100
8:00 75mm co-ax = standard-issue reality has left the building
this is the sequel everyone wanted
I would like to see some unknown Italian tank project
yes
The only one I can think of is the c p40?
@@stesegreto656 P26/40 prototype (2 prototype, one was armed with 75/18 and the other one was armed with 75/32), P43, and P43 bis. As well as the Semovente M/L.6
And also the Breda 501 and AB 43 Armored Car
And if you didn't know, the AB 43 was originally armed with the 47 mm gun. But because of Italy's switching side, the German decided to armed the Armored Car with the 20 mm Autocannon
Maus 2 the electric boogaloo
Dude For Scale - LOL!
maus : my turret is destroyed :(
e100 : don’t worry,i give u mine :)))
maus -> *MAUS II*
Oh , right. 😁
I never knew there was a second maus...and a Fucking love the maus
0 unlikes and let's keep it that way :D
Don't tell me... there's a Maus III
I think there were some plans or something for Tiger III, but I am not sure if it's true
Okay, but what about
the *RATTE II* ?
* insert battlefield 1 trailer miusic *
We need a bigger rodent trap!
If you look at the turretshape of current gen MBTs like Challenger or Ariette the sloped turretfront seems to be an efficient way to design a turret
Maus pt.2 sounds pretty intriguing...
The caption at 2.28 is ridiculous, they are scraping the mud of the chassis after it had been freed from being bogged!
Yeah, that's a mistake on the part of the video editor.
@ 2.39 min. A picture of the Maus, with the tekst; "The Maus recieving a fresh coat of paint", this is wrong, it got stuc in the mud as can clearly been seen on the picture in the film.
Great documentary. I love this channel!
...but I gotta ask: Why would anyone want to mount the 15cm or 17cm gun on that hull? It's already hillariously impractical as it is. Why make it worse?
I feel sorry for the WoT players....
5:19 when the term mischief is appropriate for how much Germany suffered due to mustache man misconceptions about tank warfare
I kinda wish they finished it
Really cool vehicle!!!
I love the Maus!!!
She was Good and Horribl😮😂❤❤❤❤
So there were several hulls and a couple of turret, but Gaijin still said "No, it didn't existed, so not in the game."
The reason is not that. The reason maus was removed is the balance issues.
@@katyusha1283
I know, I know, but still. It was too badass to be remowed. But then again, why the E-100 is buyable?
@@tumate45 Not everyone can get the E-100. But the maus was a tech tree tank. So you almost HAD to play it.
@@katyusha1283
True
Hmmmm, then wouldn't it be good for the Maus to be a marketplace tank or something?
I know, people would get mad, but at least they could still get their hands on it
@@tumate45 You can still research it in some events if you can research rank 5 german tanks.
I didn’t know they had that many (unfinished) hulls and turrets
Interesting 😮
look at that fuel tank ! 1 shot n emptyyyyy
Maus 2: More like E-200
is it e100 or maus tank yeah but its cursed e100 turret maus tank but it's cursed CURSED!!!!
It's Maus 2, uses the Krupp Turret that is proposed to improve the Maus
Your WoT/WoTB game screw up this facts
Awesome video!
I shared it on r Tank Porn so I hope the peeps there see it.
Not a bad video but please proofread your script writer's work before recording, it's very very very repetitive.
Didn't know there were much more hulls and turrets for the maus! Great Video
the only thing I got here was how large the maus is compared to the "dude" next to it..
It is not fair comparison. But you could mount 130 mm gun in Leo2.
hmm..... what if it goes faster? 45 km/h? or 60
There is another one???😱
is there a third
E muas 2 standard panzer
Very informative video - and for me that first heard of a surviving Maus in a book from George Forty in 182 - apparently he had seen it on a video from kubinka tank museum, there are many New pictures that i have never seen before
Lots of repeated information. Some reworded, some identical phrases.
That’s the E 100 turret
What were they thinking??? The maus was a bad idea, though it's a cool idea.it would never work. J
It was not that bad, despite being as mobile as a legless turtle the armor as basically impossible to pen my the majority of allied guns, and the two cannons were both effective against the enemy, if the 160 Maus were finished, they would had some impact on the war, not much, but enough to change the allied strategy and maybe even force them to desgin new tanks
@@simonsenaviev7541 I never thought of that. You make a good point. Thanks. J
@@jasonbrannock1698 as a rebuttle to what he stated, it was a bad idea. Regardless of how many guns it could not be penned by, it takes an extraordinary amount of people to get it going and build it at a time when they had too few people to build and operate let alone materials to make it. Let alone all the problems that would come with it breaking down and down time.
It's also important to take into account how big the two fronts are and how few maus tanks could be made and how little land it could cover.
So it was an absolutely bad idea. They were going to lose anyway but a panther would have been a better idea.
@@axeavier I agree with you. J
A couple bombs from aircraft and the thing is kaput.
The turret in the thumbnail is from the e 100
Another Maus?, NATO needs to begin production of them again to liberate Crimea and Eastern Ukraine. Modern versions obviously, but as a mobile heavy artillery platform it could be useful still.
im sorry im a little confused so this us just the E 100
Just the maus with a redesigned turret
The E100 is a different tank. The E100 has a very similar turret to the Maus 2 (just some differing armor values and weight), but a completely different hull.
@@TanksEncyclopediaYT the E-100 reminds me of a really heavy Tiger II hull.
is it a Maus with an E 100 turret?
Other way around. This turret was originally designed as an improvement to the Maus and then also chucked (in a lightened version) on the E100
