67005 & 67006 Royal train | 1Z80 11/06/23 @ Tring

67006 ‘Royal Sovereign’ & 67005 ‘Queens Messenger’ top and tail the DB Cargo Royal Train southbound through Tring on the unadvertised 1Z80 Wolverton Centre sidings to Windsor & Eton Riverside to pick up the King and Queen consort. The train left Windsor around midnight and headed up to York, where world famous 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ took over from 67006 (Which was put in the Parcels sidings) and took the train to the NYMR to unveil a 50th anniversary plaque. The royals then travelled to Scarborough by car as the train returned to York to swap the locos back around. The train then headed to Scarborough, picked up the royals and took them down to Kings cross on 1Z82. The train then reversed at harringay and worked the final leg of the journey up the west coast back to the secure shed at wolverton works. somewhat difficult to track down but turned out successful!

2920 Diesel Generator coach
2915 ‘Royal Household Sleeping Car’
2917 ‘Royal Household Dining Car’
2916 ‘The Prince of Wales Dining Car’
2923 ‘Prince of Wales Saloon’
2922 ‘Prince of Wales sleeping Car’
2921 Luggage, Kitchen & Staff accommodation
