How come hairdressers can't learn to do natural hair with pressing, braiding, or weaving? This is so gorgeous and simple! Maybe a lot more women will be natural if stylist learn how to style natural hair
What do you mean? you can press, braid and weave natural hair. I can straighten my natural hair and recently got individual braids and they looked beautiful! natural hair is the most versatile.
No, I mean, go to my hairdresser, sit down and let him do all the work, like in my permed days. This is perfect and transformed

I applaud you for going public and sharing your ideas of hairstyles for women of color. We have to keep it positive when it comes to comments about ourselves. It's so easy in this day and time to always find something "wrong" when it comes to someone else. We actually can find it faster if we actually look in the mirror first! I know this video is over a year old but I am sooooo glad that I found it! I've been looking for different non heat hair styles because I use heat on my hair more often than I probably should. And ironically, I have a non-sulfate shampoo (not the brand that you used), the cantu leave-in conditioner, AND the olive oil ecostyler gel! I'm very impressed and inspired to give this style a try and hopefully stay away from the heat for a little while! Thank you so much!

I tried this a few weeks ago because my hair has naturally tight coils and I thought using perm rods would stretch it out a bit, but I didn't know the step about the finger uncoiling. I must try it again!

Love it. I'm going to give it a try now. I just tried to straighten my hair which was a fail. :(. But my question is how did it work the next day work? Also do you sleep in a bonnet or tie it down? I just did a second BC mistakenly thinking it would be low maintenance. I want a style to last a week and more get up and go.

This is a great video of the rod set on natural hair. I rolled my hair every night for over 20 years when my hair was relaxed, to get that salon look. I'm excited to see what results I can get using rods on my natural hair. Thank you very much for sharing!!!

Hello, Miss Ken! First let me say your hair is beautiful. I noticed before you set your hair how healthy it looked in the first place, I'm dealing with unhealthy hair right now, it's breaking something terrible. so I said let me try this method it may help to moisturize my hair. I tried your method, my hair came out so stiff. I was wondering could it be the gel and not enough moisturizer? Or could it be that I have extremely bad hair, have you ever tried this set without using any hair gel, if so did it set well or not? Thanks for all the tutorials they are really helpful👸🏿

This looks great! I have been struggling to perfect my perm rod set, my hair never seems to dry completely, resulting in undefined curls. It looks like we have around the same curl pattern, so this encourages me to keep trying and give my hair longer to dry next time. Great results!
