@andrew9371 yea they should have used it for DMR anyway. It's not a standard issue rifle. Never will be. But yes a great DMR. The round and the self adjusting vortex optic.
The fact that the US Army is still using the basic M4A1 rather than an enhanced version like the Block 2 or URGI is kinda crazy to me. Yes, it would cost some money. But at a minimum all infantry units should have their rifle upgraded at this point. Yes, M4A1 will get it done and its still not a bad weapon. But there have been a lot of advancements to the platform that have proven themselves in combat with other Army units like the 75th, Green Berets, etc that are durable enough and offer tangible benefits(like free floating). Instead they went to a super heavy battle rifle? Idk, I guess we'll see how that plays out.
super heavy? would it be nice sure but in the grand scheme itll do nothing for your basic infantryman, plus why would they upgrade to block 2 or URGI if they will be replaced with the XM5
While I kind of agree, the M4A1 works fine as is. Our infantrymen can shoot and move effectively when trained effectively, and that's what really matters. No amount of upgrades will make a soldier as effective as good training will. Also, you underestimate how heavy the Block 2 is. The DD RIS II rail alone weighs over a pound - with all the doohickeys, it's about as heavy as an XM7 (which by the way is also free-floating). And unfortunately yes, even if we did want to upgrade our M4s, it would be expensive to a point the Army is not willing to shell out the cash. They don't want an 'iterative improvement', the guys up top are always looking for some insane game-changer they're never going to really get.
MY EXACT POINT! The army truly does limit its basic level 11 series by not providing them the equipment. Even down to earpro, nods, boots, uniforms. At this point I think we should all upgrade to the FSP Block II's and Sig Tango's on the M4's. There so much to say but ehh
It looks like usmc infantry has better gear than the army infantry now, brand new hk rifles and high cut helmets where the army still has regular m4s and ach helmets
Because the Marines ditched their tanks and focused their budget on infantry. Whereas the Army still has tanks, aircraft and more that take up the budget.
Army definitively getting some new kit you just don’t know it, there ain’t nothing wrong with M4s and Saws, plus we getting the new 6.8 weapons within a few years, highcuts only good for peltors to pop on an off
There's never been a time where the Marines had better gear than the Army. They always got the Army's old gear and equipment. Had many Marines admit that to me. Army has a bigger budget.
This is what fighting goat herders and rice farmers for 80 years does to a mf, US doctrine is formed around that. These guys dont even have basic shit like face paint and foliage in their helmets

they arent doing that training in this video, and they all have thermal night vision, but its daytime and not necessary.
xD
they should more accurately recreate the modern battlefield of what this terrain would look like to better train
That is what it looks like duxe
@@capitana2377 i mean like even more-so, this is the cleanest battlefield ive ever seen
@@ssssantos304 it doesnt make much difference tbh especially in the woods where there isnt much debris.
@@specialist4566 you’re probably right, just hope the training is as optimal as it can be

i served in Afghanistan, 2008 as an 11Bravo! , i wouldn't advice or suggest any young man to go give his time and effort and above their lives flr all this scums political war monggers, they will sell you out, like a trinkcket at a Kabul Bazar!
hey look they are still using M-4s
Yea they arent actually switching to that sig crap. That's all politics and contracts.
@@fujimi715 so will it just end up becoming a DMR because it is a pretty badass DMR just doesn't fit doctrine for a primary rifle
@andrew9371 yea they should have used it for DMR anyway. It's not a standard issue rifle. Never will be. But yes a great DMR. The round and the self adjusting vortex optic.
@@fujimi715 yeah that's what i was thinking since i first saw it
Appears to be proper training. But it looks childplay compared to what Ukrainian soldiers are doing.
Are...are you just stupid or do you not understand what training is
you mean real war looks harder than training? im shocked.
Standard issue kit and gear is so cringe lol, protective but golly that shit SUCKS
Yeah dude it's almost like they don't get to choose
Most overrated military on earth
Best in the world yet "overrated" hahahahahahahahaha
This is good training but the way this set up is a very bad example of how to conduct this type of war fare
No one cares what you think, little anonymous nobody
Tell me you've never trained without telling me you never trained
Super heavy battle rifle? Nobody ever show this man an M16, he'll shit himself.
I can shoulder fire multiple belts through a M240. stfu @@SuperGman117

@@ElMachoMucho how many bunkers did you assault in Iraq? 😆🤣
@@mantalissdev that makes sense, its the whole force redesign thing they are are doing
Hey, just a heads up. This unit has plate carriers and Ihps now.
Gear has been slowly improving
Army definitively getting some new kit you just don’t know it, there ain’t nothing wrong with M4s and Saws, plus we getting the new 6.8 weapons within a few years, highcuts only good for peltors to pop on an off
There's never been a time where the Marines had better gear than the Army. They always got the Army's old gear and equipment. Had many Marines admit that to me. Army has a bigger budget.
Its interesting to see the difference in this approach to how we do it in the UK. Certainly seems a lot slower and more exposed
This is what fighting goat herders and rice farmers for 80 years does to a mf, US doctrine is formed around that. These guys dont even have basic shit like face paint and foliage in their helmets
whats UK doctrine?
Its training LMAO.
This is literally squad live fire.
Not meant to be high speed buddy 😂
I believe the saying that was drilled into my head my entire contract is “slow is smooth, smooth is fast”. Also when doing live fire where the objective you must assault is in an open area how exactly do you expect them to not be exposed? Even though it’s an open objective they were obviously still using micro terrain to provide cover so I still can’t really agree with you on that.
😂😂😂 клоуны
55 seconds your red misted and you had a stoppage, you dropped your weapon .. lol .. it’s not Hollywood dude LMAO 😂😂😂
