The Misfits opened for Megadeth and fucking Graves jumped off the stage and went straight into the mosh pit, 6" nails in his arm gauntlets, fresh corpse paint and all. It was very impressive, oh did I mention he didn't skip a lyric nor did he mess up at all. Fucking sick, he belongs as the lead singer of The Misfits
My dad used to listen to the Misfits and similar bands when I was younger…now I'm actually getting into the bands and music more and it feels awesome having heard these songs before. Thanks Dad.
An employee at Hot Topic recommended me this band because I told him I was going goth and I needed old punk/metal band recommendations. He recommended me The Misfits and now I wanna give him a hug.
My teacher gave me a list of songs to listen to during his class which is Canadian History. But, he's also a music teacher so he literally told me to listen to misfit songs while he gave lessons.... Said he'd help me catch up next day.
My choir teacher played this on the piano and I asked him what song it was and he said dig up her bones and I looked it up mr Cheney if your reading this thanks for introducing me to the misfits
This song means so much to me... Brings back a lot of good memories of someone special to me.. And it makes me cry when I listen to it.. In a good way.
Something I've always loved about the Misfits is the contrast of the vocals and the song. And even the lyrics are gruesome, but presented plesantly. I love it. 😁
this song is actually pretty good! i went to one of their concerts, actually. but, i got killed in a mosh pit. it was my first concert sooo. you could only imagine how horrifying that was haha =P
the one saw a.c. dc thunder struck tour 1989 Arco arena. Sacramento California. you are exactly right a mosh pit is something out of this world I was in the middle of one and got the crap knocked out of me hahaha
I actually went to a misfits concert when i was 14 in buffalo, around 1997, and never heard of them or danzig. So i learned from the misfits from a friend, and didn't learn about danzig until i started looking into the band. Side note, i went to the concert with an inverted mohawk.
This and "Scream" are my favourite New-Misfits-songs. Can´t get enough of this song ! I play this relly loud while driving my car and I´m singing to it... there were a few times, I nearly had an accident , haha...
I'm so glad I was born in '90. Not only did I grow up with these guys around, but I can also smoke, drive, vote, DRINK, and I'm done with high school. Double =P
I'm actually not a big Misfits fan (the singer's usual low voice doesn't really do it for me), but this song is kickass. So far I've found two songs I enjoy. I mean, the instrumentals and lyrics are awesome in every song. It's the vocals that bug me at times. But yeah, this be wayyy awesome.
@0Zcrow ironically this song was originally written with Danzig in the band though. I have an old VHS of him singing it, as well as the original single "dig up her bones" that was a promo printed on blue vinyl... it has danzig on the cover and singing. :)
The Misfits own Jersey. I live in Jersey, and I swear to god, these guys are the unofficial owners of Jersey. Every punk kid has a Misfits tee in Jersey. :3
Best Misfits song, in my opinion. When I think about it, there are others with better lyrics, or better guitar riffs, but something about this song... It's just perfect. :)
born in 96. grew up in a family where not giving a fuck was awesome. punk rock was kickass. hell, ever since i have learned about these guys i was a fan. --!- ^_^ -!--
@davidbjr3 I'm so glad I was born in 92. Not only did I grow up with these guys around, but I can also smoke, drive, vote, and I'm done with high school =P
why is there always one person that gives a thumb down to this music I do not understand that because it's some pretty good damn punk rock yes for sure. thumb down person. I do not know you but I do disagree with you a little bit and I mean it with most respect I've been a punk rocker since 1975 and this is a band that really brings back a lot of memories I know you might not like it but I mean no disrespect to you but but I love listening to them very loud.
I like how ppl are trying to figure out what he is singing about. michale graves wrote this as a child when his mother passed.
Really???
*this is a song about the misfits getting arrested for grave robbing
@@BC513RICH the original misfits, with danzig... Thanks for clearing that up.
All that dumb shit is wrong lol that's the cool thing about music . The same song can have different meanings for different people.
isn’t it about bride of Frankenstein

It is good to hear that people guide their children down a musically awesome path! Keep the spirit Alive bro!
Well my dad kinda killed it but I'll definitely keep the spirit up!
Keep it alive, Tell all your friends and spread the word. Or not it is all up to you
Haha already am…i'll sure as hell keep it alive! damn it's the best time in history…wish i could go back in time
Same with me lol he listened to them ever since Danzig was in the band
An employee at Hot Topic recommended me this band because I told him I was going goth and I needed old punk/metal band recommendations. He recommended me The Misfits and now I wanna give him a hug.
Aw sick it's Ikutsuki from Persona 3,man you have good taste.
@@HolyGoddessMotherAnne Oh thank you! P3 has been my favorite in the series for a while. Taste!
@@zorastix I prefer Persona 5 but 3,3 is fucking brilliant.
U are weeb faq
Give these bands a listen:

- Suicide Commando (industrial)
- Studio X (industrial)
His voice is smooth as hell
Her voice *
And the whole band is thicc 😆
His voice might be smooth but I always thought in a way Danzigs misfits songs were better
No Glenn Danzig, but Michael Graves can sing.
Hanni Jazz you have five seconds to get back to where you came from
Ive been listening to this like 3 days now atleast 20 times a day.
I CANT GET BORED OF IT
One does NOT simply get bored of most Misfits songs 🤘
I find it amazing how my choir teacher assigned me homework to listen to this song because he had a feeling I would like it. and he was right
Your teacher is a badass
Your teacher needs an award
My teacher gave me a list of songs to listen to during his class which is Canadian History. But, he's also a music teacher so he literally told me to listen to misfit songs while he gave lessons....

Once a student said "got something stickin' in my eye". All his friends start chanting "we don't need no education".
My absolute favorite song by the Misfits.
This song means so much to me... Brings back a lot of good memories of someone special to me.. And it makes me cry when I listen to it.. In a good way.
Okay I have never listened to this band before.... They're pretty awesome so far. TIME TO CHECK OUT MORE OF THEIR MUSIC!!
...And two hours later she had listened to every Misfits song ever recorded...all 138 of them. ;)
@@dirtrusty7228 they have exactly 138? Wow jajaj we are 138!🔥

Stephen Guzman I totally agree
My first Misfits song. Heard about them today by my mom. She has great music taste
this song is actually pretty good!

XD
Putthatinur Pipe You're a fucking smartass. I like that.
I'M
if you dont dig those lyrics, perhaps a shovel is you best bet
Dan Plumpton Who said anything about not digging the lyrics ?!
This song aged like fine wine.
I wish i could go to a concert
Me too. But mom is too afraid to leave our small town where everyone comes to die (there are graveyards practically surrounding us.)
Middle school memories...
wanna do xtc and have violent sex that will make you hate yourself the next day? i don't mean with me... you aren't my type hun.
Middle school emo flashbacks are called PTXD
Life memories. I didn't get how awesome the misfits really were at that age.
Lyrics are wrong. The line is I CAN'T get there on my own. Not can.
First time listening to this band, I think I may check out more.
Do it! They are a really good band!
Matt Jones Since the posting of that comment, I have downloaded over 5 songs by them. I think they may have a new listener.
Sweet!
Have you listened to Hybrid Moments?
Matt Jones No, I have not. I might check them out too.
This is actually really nice. Introduced to them by a friend. Can't wait to thank him.

I love Glenn and everything he does musically, but after what he did to jerry for rights to the misfits, that's all I'd play is jerry and graves

I'm a thirteen year-old rocker and the only one in my school. Not a single guy or girl in my school listens to rock and roll.
Lunar Scorpio exactly the same with me , but that’s what makes it punk rock , the indifference of it , It won’t die ,keep on rocking
I was in your shoes 9 years ago. Keep on with punk! Be an outcast! \m/

"Dig up her bones" is one of my favorite songs
