I hope so, and I hope it ends with Tommy learning from the exile and Tubbo realizing that Dream shouldn't have any sort of power over L'manburg, even if that's due to threats, and ends with Tommy being allowed in L'manburg again.

The disc doesn’t mean anything to anyone except Tommy. As long as Tommy is part of l’manberg and have some sort of influence, Dream have leverage over l’manberg.
I love how ranboo talks about the legit meaning of the dics and tubbo just shrugs it off like hes talking about a thing he found on ebay
I really hope this doesn't mean Tubbo will destroy the disc Tommy gave him :/
@@Indigo-Haze maybe destroying the discs would be the best possible outcome. It would finally break the deadlock for power
@@technote5124 yeah
I think he only does that because Ranboo figured out the plot and they're trying to save that revelation for a later date for the viewers, because I believe there is no world where that isn't what the discs actually mean
@@technote5124 Maybe. Either way Tommy would be dead set on taking Dream down.
Edit: It would be nice if the discs end up in Eret's museum. They are a major piece of server history after all! The discs will be neutral this way and neither party will have them.
I believe he isn't wrong about Dream, and also about Tommy, but Tommy has another reason: Those discs are things that represent Tommy and Tubbo's friendship, the good old days, and such. He wants the old days back, and Tubbo wants to keep them in mind, but move on from them. I worded this poorly, but yeah-
wholeheartedly agree
Tommy's going Gatsby on us
And it holds Tubbo's trust For tommy it represents a lot of things their friendship Trust and the times they had on the bench listening to it Tommy doesnt want the power but for the things it represents and also The discs are the ones that represents lmanberg itself it was sacrificed for lmanberg the discs was in every war
The discs are more than pieces of plastic, they have sentimental value. Fond memories, a symbol of friendship, even a significant part in their freedom at one point. Sentiment and emotional attachment can turn into leverage, and that leverage is power.
@@SoulMorri Tommy went insane being in logsted
Dream probably fears that one day, tommy wouldn't care about the discs anymore
dream, too, lives in fear of tommyinnit
I've been thinking about this and how this cam tie into tommys arc. through out the whole smp, tommy is persistent to get his discs and like other people have said, they represent power as well as tommy and tubbos friendship. how this will play into his arc is that I believe that tommy will sacrifice himself and the discs in order to make lmanburg free as dream said lmanburg may be independent, but not free. I picture a seen of tommy jumping into lava with the discs in his hand, as well as a picture if him and tubbo. Tommy looks at the picture for a final time before he and the discs get disintegrated. This will also be a Canon death so this could lead to ghost innit which I am secretly praying for.
I mean, Tommy IS a Big Man
I always knew. The discs were a symbolic embodiment of power and defiance one person have over the other, over the Dream SMP and everyone in it. Judging from Tubbo’s reaction, he must have at least had an idea of this before so it isn’t new to him, which adds a even deeper meaning to him shouting at Tommy that he didn’t care for the discs, meaning he didn’t care for the power. Very glad the discs, the most valuable inanimate character of the Dream SMP, was finally properly addressed as what it really represented, not just Dream and Tommy too lazy to open Spotify. Because from a new viewer’s perspective, they’d be so confused as to why wars are fought, lives are dead and nations are built only because of pieces of plastic that makes noises when you put them in magic boxes. Thank you Ranboo, for this I believe you will be a great president of l’Manberg 2021.
"Why fight for the disks when you can just open up spotify" is a phrase I never thought would come to hold so much wisdom.

my biggest problem with the disks is that they are can be FARMED. not just one day of the year. BUT ANY NIGHT. But then what ranboo said that its like money. we put faith in a paper(or plastic) currencey with no rarity and able to be counterfited. if tommy went and said "bitch, i can get more disks" then it looses value and then l'manburg has no value. so, l'manburg(goverment) is the thing holding back everyone.
@@oofers1151 well making iron farms and illegally trading with villagers is banned so that would probably get banned too
y'know, it Tommy simply didnt care for the discs, they would be useless, the only reason dream wants the discs is because tommy wants the discs and the more tommy will go out of his way and sacrifice for the discs, the more power they hold
It’s a paradox, Tommy hates Dream because he doesn’t allow Tommy to do whatever he wants, and he’s right, Tommy shouldn’t be allowed to do whatever he wants, he needs to understand that the things he does have consequences. Actually, he should understand by now, that’s what I think Tommy’s exile will lead to, him realizing that. Now, because of this hate that he has for Dream, It really enrages him to think that his most hated enemie has something of his, so he tries to take It back at all costs. But Dream only wants the discs so that he can control Tommy and don’t allow him to do whatever he wants. So It’s a never ending cycle of hate, which just grows as time passes by. When Tommy finally realizes that he can’t do whatever he wants without consequences, he’ll stop being impulsive and he’ll start putting more thought into things. But seriously, I can’t imagine Tommy not being impulsive, so if this ever happens, he’ll need to act rlly well.
Both of them need to learn to let go. Tommy of his disks and Dream of the power. That's the only way this can come to an end
@@TheOrcKatari When It comes to Their characters, yes, I think they need to let go things and that It should be the moral lesson of this history, but when It comes to narrative wise, I think It would be more interesting if everyone gave up everything and just ran away, as far as they can, till they are free from Dream. That way he would be left all alone, only having the power that he fought so hard for to turn out to be meaningless, as his seek for control of his nation (which I theorize he does in order to achieve overall peace, disregarding the means to It tho) repelled every single one of his citizens.
“I fought for peace, but at what cost” - Dream
But see Tommy doesn’t want to give in to Dream and his “I am God” rule like everyone, even his best friend did. The reason Dream wants Tommy, no. The entirety of the Sleepy Bois Inc family gone is because they are the only ones who will stand up to him.
@Colin Berg He’s not team Chaos and he never was, even tho he said It. All he wants is to control, he uses chaos as a tool to create beneficial situations for him. He allied with Techno for a brief moment because It favored him, It’s not bad writing, or at least I don’t think so, for me It fits his character very well.
@Colin Berg I think it make sense when you think about his main goal, power. Dream is just going with the winning sides and removing all opposition to him. How he does it doesn’t matter, just that he stays #1
Honestly, Tommy really just wants the discs back because they were one of the first things hes achieved and treasured in the server. Dream only wants them for the control and leverage he gains over tommy. Tommy could've emotionally latched onto a dirt block instead of a disc and dream would've stolen that dirt.
Ranboo: Yeah so the meaning of the discs is power
Tubbo: oh yeah
Tubbo on the inside: *flashbacks* "THE DISK DONT MATTER TOMMY" *they do matter- Oh no-* 👁👄👁
Ranboo just solved the entire plot to the dream SMP
Big brain
I thought it was obvious tbh
The thing Tommy needs to do in order to truly beat Dream in all of this, is to stop trying to cling to the good old days he and Tubbo had, and move on with newer better days, and also to realize he needs to stops caring about the disks which don't just represent power, or the first act of defiance that he and Wilbur committed, but also his and Tubbo's friendship from the old days. The thing is, the disks are just that, a representation, they aren't the power, the defiance, or the friendship itself, but also he needs to realize that in order to truly send that message to Dream, that the disks hold no more power for anyone, especially Dream and that he's decided to move move forward to when the better days with Tubbo come around again, that he's trying to focus on his and Tubbo's friendship moving onward, and being there for Tubbo instead and their actual physical friendship, instead of fighting over the thing that represents the days of their friendship that they can't ever go back to, and focusing on making those better days come around sooner. He's got to utterly prove that to Dream's face, the most effective and defiant way to do that would be by burning them in front of Dream's face, denying him the power, proving to Dream that he has no more power over Tommy, and by extension L'Manberg, and that Dream cannot crush their defiance, their power, their friendship or their freedom anymore.
Cause in the end, there are 3 ways this can all go, Tommy denies Dream the power, and Dream decides to let L'Manberg be free, Tommy denies him the power and everyone leaves the DreamSMP lands, leaving Dream with all the control he could want, over a de-peopled barren land,
Tommy decides to deny him the power, and still decides to battle it out with Dream for the rest of the SMP
Anyway it goes down, I just hope there are cool animatics
It’s funny cuz dream and sapnap did just that, dream yelled at Tommy to his face that he didn’t care about spirit and he could burn him right in front of him and he wouldn’t care, and sapnap released mars
I feel like tommy would deny dream the power by breaking the discs himself. Thus taking dreams power as well as letting go if the discs 👀
@@flutterbumflossy yeah but its tommy he won't learn nothing he literally said something like "once I get the confidence to insult people again im coming back"

Wow, i accually never thought of this. That makes a lot of sense.
The instant Tommy loses his attachment to the disc. The less power Dream have over him.
TheseusInnit
in tommy's stream yesterday "I'm actually exiled" dream was talking to him and told him that the reaso dream wanted tommy to be exiled is because tommy is the only one who doesn't listen to him.

Nah that position is cursed everyone who's been it died and became evil
@@ComicSky thats true. but ranboo, hes not been in the wars or fights of the server, so he wouldnt really have any motive to become evil or if dream offers him anything to be evil, he probably wont take it.
I like your selection of the moment's from the Dream SMP Anime, unlike other clip channels, I see you have fine selection on key moments
I miss the good ol days
Im cryin no cap
Ranboo ain't wrong,
And with some thinking, I have a prediction for the end of dream smp.
In the end, when Tommy finally attains the disc, he'll detroy them. Because it was the disc that started everything, and I think it'll be the only thing that ends everything. Because if no one has it, no have powere over the other.
And I feel that the disc are a sort of shackles that chains tommy to the past, a symbol of war and chaos. The disc are weapons that are being shoved against everyone's throats, but it can also be the thing that brings peace to all.
To help bring true anarchy to all of dream smp.
But if Tommy isn't willing to detroy the disc, it means he isn't ready to move on and go forward to a new future.
But if techno somehow gets a hold of the disc and detroys it infront of all of dream smp people, then he could probably----
Hahaha, I'm just bullshitting you.
Or am I?
Yes ur right
I think Technoblade will must likely destroy the discs. Tommy created the discs as a symbol of defiance and power against Dream. To destroy the discs would mean giving in to Dream and handing him power, meaning Dream will win with the discs or not. Meanwhile Technoblade is an anarchist, and governments are basically built to control power. No power, no government, and like you said, yes anarchy.
If this would be the ending of Dream SMP, i think it's very likely to be. The Disc and L'manberg is the begining of everything. Thus it'll also be the end.
I like that
@@osh1920 so the end would be the discs and lmanberg burning down
I don’t think Tommy even knows why the discs are so important to him
Tommy wants his discs not because of power it's because it's a symbol of both Tubbo and Tommy friendship. But dream the man who holds power, wants the discs, to control tommy manipulate people around tommy to thinking the only thing he wants is the discs, when in reality he wants the thing that solemnly his. therefore as I said dream wanted nothing but power. and by exiling tommy he holds the power of his friends, 𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗼

Holy crap there’s actually someone in lmanburg with a brain
I mean, yeah kinda obvious.
The real question to ask is why Dream wants that power
I like to think that if wilbur's scripting is good it's gonna be because Dream is a control freak, and that he has issue with feeling vulnerable because he's built up such an untouchable persona as the literal god of the server, and Tommy being Tommy shakes his persona.
What I would love to see is someone realize this and to pick it apart.
Say something like "I can see right through you Dream, you're a control freak, why else would you have such a vendetta against Tommy? You know full well you could just give him the disc's and you could avoid conflict. But no, you can't have things that simply, you need to assert your dominance, show everyone their place. But guess what, you don't have control over me" then leave the server dramatically.
Obviously though this is just for story purposes, if Dream really hated Tommy as much as he displays at times, he'd just ban him outright.
Quackity, Tommy, and Dream are writing the script not Wilbur now.
Dream doesn't power, he wants control. Very similar, but in practice they are much different
Alternatively, you could say Dream character just want's power for power's sake, to show he's the big man around campus, putting everyone in their respective places, keeping them all lower than him in power, Tommy is one of the few people he can't seem to keep in place, and this imbalance in who he can keep in place and who has power is something that might scare his character, and something that makes him doubt himself if he can't even keep one kid in line, cause as the age old pixar movie quote goes, "Don't you see, one ant stands up and then they all might stand up, those puny little ants outnumber us 100 to 1"
Why I always thought the discs means a lot more to Tommy. The discs are always played when there’s some sort of bonding moment, sealing a pact, a group motivation before a storm.
Like chilling with tubbo, a jukebox in old l’manburg (which I vaguely rmb them playing it), listening to blocks with schlatt, sunset pact, heck even Chirp with BBH.
The discs means friendship, and friendship is treasure to Tommy. He even placed a compass to Tubbo next to his discs after he exiled him. The ones who listened to the discs with Tommy may not realise the significance it holds, but to him it’s the most valuable thing he owns.
For Dream idk, because he doesn’t stream. Maybe it’s for power, but power over what? He’s basically god. Most likely he just wants to taunt Tommy, he goes and start antagonising every one because he can do anything.
My opinion on why the discs matter to Tommy:
I think for him the discs represent his friendship with Tubbo. From the very beginning, the discs have been something that he shared with Tubbo, and so he's been trying to get them back because their friendship is so important to him. When Tubbo exiled Tommy, he said the discs didn't matter, and at that point we can see how their friendship basically falls apart (in the rp, not irl lmao). And now Tommy has zero discs and all his friends are gone. Sad times. Anyways WOOO LOGCHAMP
He who controls the discs controls the people
Dream getting the disk is like an older brother trying to get leverage to annoy his younger sibling.
Really enlightening, captain obvious
no no no, Tommy seriously likes the music and yeah maybe they represents things such as power and all, but one of the very first things he has done with the disc was to play it with Tubbo while watching the sunset, the calm before the storm. Those music discs not only hold music, Tommy really likes, but the memories of the good old days.
Hes so right
why does this have that avengers infinity war and endgame vibe
For me it isnt just power for tommy he listened to those discs with tubbo hes fighting for the item that helds their friendship
It is confusing because tubbo exiled tommy for the good of the nation and that was the right choice but the good of the nation always depends on dream an *outsider* but who is the one who has all the power over everything so really it isnt tommy or tubbo's fault they are both doing what they believe in and to do that in harmony they have to get rid of the real villian in L'manburg... *dream*

Yeah Dream already said this to Tommy in the stream before he was exiled he said “the discs are what give me power over you and your friends”
There is so many good theory about the disc meaning, and I'm here not knowing which one to pick .
ranboo is definitely right about the discs meaning, but i also think they hold another meaning to them too.
the discs have always been the things that not only tommy has been fighting for, but also tubbo. i feel like the discs are also a symbol of tommy and tubbo's friendship. i mean, think about it; as tommy as said multiple times, all that the dream smp is is based around the idea of tommy and tubbo trying to get the discs from dream.
on today's stream where tubbo said he didn't care about the discs and that they were just meaningless objects (not his exact words but summed up), it was basically him saying that he didn't care about his and tommy's friendship anymore.
of course, the discs also hold power over tommy and to be fair, the entire server. my theory is if you take these two observations and turn them into one big theory, is that tommy and tubbo's friendship is pretty much the key to the entire server, and that's why dream has recently been trying to separate them. now that tommy is exiled, there's probably going to be a lot of chaos in the server since they are separated atm, and dream is gonna get exactly what he wants.

What does the discs have to do with power though....
tommy treasures the disks and would sacrifice alot of things for them and dream is a control freak so he wants power over everything and tommy was the first one to say fuck you to dream and not listen to him, the disks mean alot to tommy since they were one his first items on the server, whoever has the disks, has power over tommy, and dreams wants power, so by obtaining the disks, dream has power over tommy
@@IDKcentral334 oh, so whoever possesses the discs have power over tommy and not in general?
If so, who has the discs now?
Techno was right it was all about the power
personally I think that the only solution that I can think of is just burning the disks. They were, and still are the causes to all of these problems. It's not Dream, or Tommy themselves as people. It's the disks. I do think Ranboo is right, and I'm genuinely impressed he came to this conclusion this quickly only after being on the server for such a short time. My question though, is what reaction Tommy and Dream would have if the disks were burned. Log through the pain m8s
actually alot of people figure that out
Eleventh baby!
Ranboo isnt wrong dream knows when he has the discs he has power over tommyinnit and he knows he will get something in return he literally said it himself
I don't wanna know why the discs are so important to Dream, that is obvious, he wants them because they're important to Tommy. What I want to know is why they're so important to Tommy, music disc aren't even that rare.
all they have to do is to get Tommy to forget about the discs, then they're literally useless
Honestly this is what the problem is with dream and tommy's rivalry they're fighting over something that can be replaced do they not realize that there could be duplicate disks or that they can be gotten by having a skeleton kill a creeper honestly they need to burn those disks if there's gonna be any real peace in this smp
Since when did ranboo know
he like, joined a few days ago or a week ago
Well, yeah, that's from Dream's own mouth. He said himself "I care about your disks. Because that's what gives me power over you..." And by extension, power over all the people Tommy cares about. If he could do what Dream did and not give a fuck about the disks anymore that whole dynamic would cease to exist.
Why fight when you have spotify?
One day, I have a feeling that Ranboo would be the president but in exchange, Tubbo has switch side to Dream or Techno
In my opinnion, exiling Tommy is the right way. He broke the negotiation and make Dream goes even wild by threatening him, then Tommy(I think) decided that they will team up with Technoblade who DESTROY L'manberg to fight Dream. Tubbo took the right choice by exiling Tommy because he doesn't want any conflict and by exiling Tommy, Dream wouldn't be so focus on L'manberg and Tubbo could focus more on rebuilding L'manberg
Which would have been smart and even slightly respectful to Tommy, but no! Tubbo allows thoughts of a war he was supposedly trying to stop and even says to do it. So spitting on Tommy's exile by doing the thing Tommy was endangering L'manburg(? I don't ever think I spell it right) with.
The day Tommy don’t care for the discs is the day Dream loses power over Tommy, but that won’t happen
diSKSKSKS
Like it or not Tommy is the protagonist of the dreams smp
Nope, as we saw dream even say "You're too important to kill, but not Tubbo." Dream likes to see Tommy in despair and the discs mean a lot to Tommy so if he has tommy's discs he has more power over tommy along with the server.
man all these people out here throwing out theories like their praying, while im here just wondering why they put an awesome looking grave of one of their greatest enemy, only out done by wilbur and techno and possibly dream
Why fight for the discs, when you can open up spotify?
Tommy can just give the discs no value
War Solved
So the discs are essentially rings of power?
Then what dose it mean to burn the disks?
Do people actually think that all of this is about the literal disks and not the leverage it has
Figured this out as soon as Dream said it so I don't see the big point.
If that's the case then how is Dream going to control L'manberg? That's something he wants, I think, but Tommy was the only one that really cared about the discs as far as I know. If Dreams tries to say "I'll burn the discs" or whatever no one will care. Exiling Tommy in the long run works a lot more in L'manberg's favor.
This was obvious since the beginning, no deep thinking needed
Agreed
