Just received my He-Man and Skeletor yesterday, and my He-Man's armor harness had the exact issue your's did. But I open them for display so it's not an issue. Great review thanks!
Wow! You’re the 3rd fan who’s had He-Man’s armor show up disconnected on one side! Is this “Visor-Gate” (Having to BREAK Tri-Klops’ Visor to get it to work?) QC my rear! Make noise. If we don’t, they’ll just keep selling zero QC figures.
@@sideswipe1261 I have 5 of these He-Man figs MOC and none of them have a loose harness. I've never even seen one in stores with a loose harness. I highly doubt there are many of them like that. Probably got knocked around in shipping or something.
Great overview of these figures. The way She-Ra's hand is in a spell casting pose type thing is a reference to the vintage females, Teela and Evil-Lyn has the same hand pose.
She-Ra is heavily influenced by vintage Teela. It seems the idea they were going for was that female figures would continue to use that standard Teela buck - so the arms and legs would be shared. Even She-Ra's face is very Teela-esque.
I imagine the jointed him is to maybe allow them to open their stance wider for when they are on things like Battle cat? The head sculpt on He-Man is totally different from the original. The original MOTU He-Man figure didn't have the Prince Valiant hairstyle he had in the Filmation cartoon.
Why is no one mentioning how low the center of HM's harness is? It's not supposed to be over his abdomen, it's supposed to be over his chest, and it can't be fixed, because they made the horizontal strap on the back too low to raise the symbol on the front. Also, Pixel Dan's right legs were frozen too. Seems like S7 has some work to do.
I just ordered He-Man and He-Ro the other day. These are a good representations of the Filmation characters in the 5.5 style. I think I'll pass on Hordak though,I have his vintage figure and I wasn't a fan of his Filmation design.
I have been saying that for a long time now Super 7 isn't doing anything spectacular They're bringing back 1980 Styles action figures what's the point I could see if they had new He-Man action figures totally up-to-date articulation and then they were selling this old version with that new version as a bonus package but that's not what they're doing they're coming out with this stuff like wow look at us look what we just did I don't see the point in even dealing with them anymore
Mythic Legends are trash. The face sculpts look absolutely terrible, and the arms are way too puffy looking. The vintage style ones look much much better.
When I was a kid, I would swap Hordak's right arm with Trap Jaw's blaster arm. Don't think these new arms can be taken off easily and swap with others, correct?
Does it bother only me that He-man's harness is WAY off, the cross should be on his chest, not his belly. Hordak and Skeletor look good, She-ra isn't bad but this he-man is simply horrible. :/ not sold on these. Hate to say this but i'd almost prefer if they were done in the Savage Land series by Funko.
You noticed too!? I think Pixel Dan said they’re glued on! OFF-CENTER! And while this is only the 2nd He-Man I’ve seen carded with a loose strap in his face, we shouldn’t see ANY! they have care for QC. I’m with you- I’ll check Mythic Legions out! S7 is DollarTree crap.
@@sideswipe1261 Man Mythic Legions is insanely good. and for the quality they present on EVERY figure their price is so worth it. You won't regret it. I assure you.

my legs were super loose and would not stand on almost all of them but if you get orthopedic rubber bands you can get them up inside the loin cloth piece they tightened right up
Alrighty! Just finished your video in full, and I do like your review style quite a bit! Now comes the critique- virtually all falls on #Super7 (bear with me) 1. He-Man. As friends have said, he looks like slathered in baby oil. Too shiny. His head is a mutation: the point of these was the “Filmation” look, and this isn’t it. Sellers online are already cranking out replacement heads. The right-leg “ArticuBreakion” is a worry. Dan pointed out his shield easily falling into 2 pieces (maybe just his, as might be the case with other comments I make- still waiting for mine). You’re either the same cool dude I regularly talk to on twitter, or more He-Man’s will be sealed on card with unstrapped armor on one side. His hair should be lighter and his face far less grim to be “Filmation”. 2. She-Ra is bow-legged. Apparently hard to stand. That kink in her left wrist is a head-scratcher. Much more Filmation than her original, but Brian himself (owner/Dr. CLAW of #Super7 ) was recorded at a con by Dan as saying “Some waists ended up with longer pins than others...” aka Deal With It! Her cloth cape is fair, but far too short. 3. Hordak- my biggest issueso far (until mine arrive) is that his head is ENORMOUS! Waaay too big! Crossbow barely moves past the stop-notch when “fired”, and just plain lazy arm cannon. They easily could’ve made a slip-over version that wouldn’t broadcast his humanoid arm under it. 4. Skeletor! I agree he looks the best. Not much to complain about (until mine show up 5 months late). 5. Packaging- excellent from the front, decent from the back. 6. Art Cards. Nice copies of art we’ve seen a dozen times. Why no minicomics? Did Brian need a new boat? There’s no excuse to put fakes in place that many may think is an actual reprint of the actual minicomics that came with the vintage toys. No good reason they couldn’t have reproduced the actual minicomics (are staples at such a premium?). These should each have reprints (use cheaper paper. Fine) of the actual minicomics the vintage came with. They’re ALL available I’m hi-res online, so saying “we couldn’t find quality copies to add” would be a lie. Brian likes lying. Frequently. #Super7 let #BigBoyToyShop Buy most of the figures, which they doubled in price immediately. Classy. Very classy. I’d like a Reaction Mekaneck (we should ALL get a *free* ReAction of choice for waiting months). Then they can go out of business and I’ll Rejoice! #ToyBro you rock! I’ve found my replacement reviewer in you! Thank you so much for your very well done, honest reviews! I don’t like #Super7 Brian and how he treats customers that make him rich. He claims (in another video by Dan) to have gone to Asia to oversee Quality Control. So... where is it? #Super7 #Brian I’ll be looking forward to my complimentary ReAction Mekaneck soon!
Yay. Another awesome video - thanks. i have been waiting for this video. Checking everyday lol. Hopefully my figs wont take too long to reach me in UK. Cheers buddy!
I will keep my old vintage he man that my parents offered me at the time, this new one is too much like the old one to be worth the acquisition. Plus I don’t like the new harness. Skeletor is cool, but just a face change is not worth buying a new one if you had, like me, a vintage Skeletor. Will buy a She Ra, because there was no vintage MOTU She Ra. I will consider Hordak, too, since I didn’t have a vintage one
Awesome review!!! I still need to open mine up! I love the cards! I wish Super7 would've used the same style things joints as the Funko Savage World's figures. At the end of the day..I'm just happy getting NEW MOTU figures!!! He-Man has always been a hero of mine!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Toy Bro ROCKS!!!
Mostly I am disappointed with the leg articulation. I don't understand why with the rebirth of 5.5 figures that has occurred, from the commemorative figures until now, why Super7 couldn't come up with a better joint system for the legs. I have some vintage vehicles that I really wanted to use these guys with, but since the legs can't swivel out like the vintage figures, that won't be happening. Will try some heat or oil to see if these joints can be loosened. I know the pegs are tiny so this is just really concerning. He-Man having no sheath on his back is a big fail. Skeletor's staff does look better than the CG line. I was getting the next wave of these, but now I think I will cancel and leave it at the 4 heavies here. I simply have no desire to collect the line all over again in 5.5. I can apply that money towards Mythic Legions. Lol.
I'm going to work on the legs today, I'm sure I can get the moving better, but for review purposes obviously I wanted to leave them as is. They are very concerning especially since each of my figures act in the same way to varying degrees.
@@ToyBro Yeah. I saw someone that got the Epic Battle packs, and he broke a leg on one of them. He heated the rest and the legs moved a lot better. I bought 2 of each so I could keep one carded, but I may end up having to use them for backup.
