I’ve been watching SC2 casts for more than 10 years. Just started playing this week. I’m duking it out with the AI on harder mode. About a 50% win rate so far. Might be good enough to take on bronze league in a month or so. My apm is about 50 lol

Honestly that's at least silver. Bronze is like...you barely can do anything. I've seen low gold with 35apm. Look up harstem is it imbalanced or do I suck and then look for the games where he checks out metal league replays. It'll make you feel more confident.

if they play standard youre right its completely worth it, but if theyre playing double gas or a cheese that needs to be scouted for a proper defense, well you just lose the game outright. small reward for a somewhat large risk.

New Colossus does make Protoss stronger against all other races land units. Hopefully develope and strong attack timing Vs other races. Obviously in late game, troop mobility, eco and how fast you replenish lost troops will determine the battle outcome.

As a slow player I really am disgusted by protoss early game (ladder is 90 % cheese anyway) my terran mmr is 2950, my protoss is 3470 - and I have just one build.
