Yosemite Valley by Bike

In our opinion, exploring the valley of Yosemite National Park by bike is the best way to see it. There are miles of clearly marked trails. Many of the trails are paved, and the others are packed dirt. If bikes are not allowed, it is clearly marked.
A place in the park does rent bikes, but not electric bikes. Watch the signs on the trails because some places have a steeper grade, and it is marked that rented bikes aren't allowed on that part of the trail. In the spring on weekdays, you probably won't have a problem renting a bike, but it may be a problem on weekends. Also, during warmer weather, it is harder to rent a bike because they are all rented.
The Ahwahnee luxury hotel in the park may rent electric bikes, but their bikes may just be for guests of the hotel. If you have your own bike, you will want to bring it with you to Yosemite. If you don't have one or cannot bring your own, you can try to rent one.
One of the reasons you will want a bike is because you are able to get as close to the attractions as you get by riding a shuttle. Personally, we loved being at Yosemite at the very end of April and first of May. We weren't alone, but the park was not crowded. Again, the earlier you arrive, the fewer people you will see.
Some of the paved trails are actually roads that have been closed except to pedestrians and bikes.
Riding through the park is an absolute joy.
We dearly loved having the bikes with us. It was a definite game changer. We rode at least 10 miles each day, and some days we rode more than 15 miles.

I can’t believe I found this channel! I lived in California for 3 years but never made it to Yosemite. So now I get to take my family which will be worth the wait. Still planning but look forward to watching your 2nd and 3rd videos. Thank you very much!

As you probably know, you are going to be relatively close to Sequoia National Park. It you've never been, you might want to look into it. The trees are very different from those in Yosemite. We do have a video about Sequoia.

Now this was a great E-biking video. We went last year with our E-bikes too. What a beautiful experience we had. We parked in curry village & got our lunches at the store & rode to the meadow in front of El Captain. We rode 23 miles that day & we created a memory that will last forever. Yosemite will surely ease our souls & bring a peace to our hearts. Thanks for this video ladies.😉👍

We were in Yosemite Memorial Day weekend through June 1st. We car/tent camped outside the park near Groveland and made day trips into the park and then we camped two nights on the valley floor at Upper Pines. It was our second trip to Yosemite which is our favorite National Park. I agree using bicycles to get around the valley floor is the best way. The shuttles can be very crowded and when we were there the shuttles would skip stops if they were full. Looking forward to you next videos on Yosemite.

Bert, you're a hoot. We often ride 10 miles or so at home, so it wasn't much of a change.

We have between 2,600 and 2,700. We haven't seen any difference in the way the battery holds a charge. We still love our Roads!

Thank you for the valuable info. Going this year, end of April into May with my wife, first time. Bringing our Ebikes with us in the back of my truck. Is parking any kind of an issue during that time? Thanks!

Sorry, just saw your comment. We were there in the fall, but I would think as early as the end of April, first of May, you wouldn't have much problem.
