  • In this week’s livestreams we’re discussing Monticello’s history as a plantation and the enslaved people whose labor kept Jefferson’s 5,000-acre enterprise running.
Tune in to hear Monticello Guides share stories about the men, women, and children who lived and labored on the mountaintop.

You can know that Sally respected Tommy and Tommy found Sally memorizing. They had a wonderful relationship that lasted until Jeffersons death. He left Sally and family plenty of money upon his DEATH and their descendents should be encouraged and do WELL in their lives. Upon the arrival of Christ on earth, you can learn more and actually ask Sally and Tommy about what it was like being so uncommon in early 19th century Virginia.
Also, the mulatto young man with afro is a direct descendent of the Jennings Jefferson love relationship. Be proud
