      @@alexandrinhos9958 I wasn't commenting on the validity of the content, just listing what the side hustles are before you watch the video, since the chapter labels aren't descriptive themselves. In fact I agree with you. These side hustles are all so over saturated that unless you are already in the top 1% of any of them (or discover you had a latent talent that you didn't know about), you'll be wasting your time unless you have enough time to make it your main job.

      Nischa’s first example is a woman who started out as a fact checker for an author who later moved to writing for a magazine and on from there. How exceptional do you have to be for fact checking? Start somewhere. Later she talked about working in an area you’re interested in so it doesn’t feel so much like work. Remember, these are side “hustles,” not ideas that generate income while you do nothing.

      I can say that YT is a rich resource when it comes to learning how to do or get started with just about any skill. I have made a few playlists for myself to learn the basics of several skills, and I'd have to say it is paying off. Now...I'm not earning money from these, just hobby-based for now, but I think I COULD. My son has learned to craft rings and gained that skill strictly from YT videos. He'll be earning money from these very soon. SO...I'd have to agree with another commenter, @robertpearce7795, you have good writing skills!

    First two are depending on there being stupid and lazy people. Third you would likely need to do that full time for a year to build the skills to do it as a side hustle, by then might as well do it full time. Fourth and fifth are side hustle-ily, but how do you build the skills to be paid. Nobody will hire you without extensive proven experience, unless you want to do it for free for like half a year first.
    This goes the same for almost all side hustles out there, that isn't a typical second job. If you aren't scamming people, then you are doing it free for 6-12 months to develop the skills. If you are spending that much time you might as well try to do it full time, unless you actually like that work for free. Then getting paid is a bonus.

    • @AlistairBrugsch
      @AlistairBrugsch หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's going to be highly country specific. I imagine Nischa's knowledge is going to be UK based and if that's what you're after then it's:
      1: up to £1000 side income is basically ignored by the gov. You are allowed to make £1000 extra a year and there isn't even a way to report it.
      2: over £1000 per year and you need to set up for doing self assessment tax returns (not that hard when it's reasonably small amounts of money, but give yourself plenty of time to do it before the deadline - end of January for the previous tax year) but make sure you put enough aside every month to cover your side income tax as you have to pay it after the end of the tax year (end of march)
      3: if you're bringing in a significant amount of money then hire a tax professional as there will be things you can do to offset how much tax you will need to pay but consult a pro to avoid falling over the line between tax avoidance (legal ways to lower tax burden) and tax evasion (illegally dodging tax)

      I do this but it is very difficult, lots of competition, and it's hard to get a good price for the materials/time. Doing things behind a computer (which I do as well) will generally get you a better price for your time. The exception is if you have a good market for your handmade stuff, but most people don't and it's hard to stand out on places like etsy.

    With GenAI tools like ChatGPT, is copyrighting or script writing or website building still a legitimate side hustle?

    • @Videpedia101
      @Videpedia101 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes.

    • @AlistairBrugsch
      @AlistairBrugsch หลายเดือนก่อน

      GenAI produces overly generic results that you can spot a mile off (when it's used as a "just generate 25 articles automatically about this list of topics") unless you are really good at crafting prompts. But likely you still have to do a load of editing to not make content that looks like everything else in the AI-sphere at which point you may as well write it yourself. Tl;Dr, quality human written content is still worth doing (as long as you can find clients that want that)

    I've just started to try it out as a Virtual Assistant, fully hoping the skills i gain now will help me to build my own online presence (YT, IG). Can't believe you mentioned it in your video!

    The main skill to develop is hustling. Convincing people you have value is the biggest hurdle to overcome. So many writing, editing, producing jobs can be automated but putting yourself in the driving seat is where the focus should be.

    Thank you for your insights! Great video! As someone who's just embarked on launching a newsletter, I'm curious about the evolving landscape of content creation in the age of AI tools like ChatGPT etc. With the surge of influencers, content creators and the increasing adoption of AI to enhance content, do you believe there's still a unique space for new creators / people who are just starting? How can you still build an audience? I feel like it's getting harder and harder... Your thoughts would be invaluable for newcomers like me. Thank you 💕

    I have to disagree with the suggestion of video editing as a side hustle. It's way too optimistic. You need to master the skills of video editing and storytelling to deliver a professional-looking video. While editing, you don't want to work for just two hours each weekday; you need to follow the flow of creativity, which can't be forced into a fixed schedule. If you're not naturally creative, video editing can quickly become frustrating, resulting in subpar quality. Additionally, you mentioned that you didn't like working with other video editors before; maybe they treated this as a whatever side hustle, not like a real career? It's just not as simple as it seems.
    Besides, all of your suggestions fall under the category of Virtual Assistant work, which can be a side hustle, but plenty of VAs work full-time while living a nomadic life as they please.
