They also rebodied them for certain markets like in Australia it was called a Holden Commodore VT which was called the Holden Calais VT for the top spec models and in the middle east it had a completely different body and was called the Chevrolet Lumina. The Chevy Lumina looks very ugly. All of the development is done by opel for the opel omega and rebadged for the Vauxhall Omega and Cadillac Catera and Chevrolet Omega. Some development was done by Holden for the Holden Commodore/Calais and for the Chevrolet Lumina some development was done by Chevrolet.

This was filmed in 2012 when the car was 12 years old, I can only presume it has been scrapped by now. The rust and cambelt problems must have killed it.
Some people do not know how to look after a car. Only 223k on the clock and this thing is ready for the scrap yard... And by the way, the engine on this car is 144hp 2.2 litre, not 2.0.
I think this should have been the next Chevy Lumina. The Lumina Z34 would have better been able to compete with European sports sedans in that case. FWD sucked the fun and joy out of it, and made it boring. Should have just had the C/W/G/E/K/H body cars on the V platform, then the Sigma/Zeta platforms, and eventually Alpha/Omega platforms.

I own an Omega and yes, the quality is pretty bad. There is always something wrong and the interior is loose and stuff breaks and so on. The only plus with the Omega is the smooth ride and size.
Omega is a beautifull car
I own an Omega for over 4 years now, and she is the best car out there.

Always loved the way the Omega B looked, before and after facelift. And I'm not blind to the fact it's a piece of **** that loves to rust.

2.0 16V? That sucks. Go V6 or go home. Even the Vectra struggles with this gutless Ecotec 2.0 16v.
The US version has a much nicer interior.
