Amazing! 4:10 onward and upward as she just lumbers into the air! I'm amazed we've built and harnessed this travel just like rocketry when so many systems have to go smoothly.
I love the 747. My brother and I drove from E. Colorado to Denver (Stapleton) and set in the loading area (way before all this security crap) just to watch the 747 land and takeoff. However the new 777X, 787's are the new 747 Queen of the sky. 2 engines that are bigger than bubba! I just laugh when I take off in my T-Bird II in 300'!

The queen of the sky still has a bit of life left in her yet, she will go out with bang kicking and screaming all the way. Cracking footage, cracking video. A big like :-)
she will be alive and well hauling cargo for years to come, but sadly this new generation has sold very few passenger versions so once they exceed their cycles or get sold to Cargo airlines we will likely forever lose the Queen to passenger flight. Im just happy some 800's were sold at all, virtually all 800's made are F's.

Hopefully a second lease of life awaits as freighter, watched a video recently of the Cargolux CEO and he reckons there could be 20 plus yrs left as a cargo aircraft. The only thing to replace a 747 freighter is another 747 freighter.

yes the a380 is bigger and also a beautiful airplane. but something about the 74 is really graceful. with it also being available as a freighter we will see it flying for years still to come. dont forget trump bought a 747-8 as the new af1 so if it lasts as long as the current af1 thats another 30 years in the skies...
