The first 20 minutes are great! I’m doing Yoga and the whole time it’s like Duncan talking to me and I’m agreeing with him. “Yup”. “That’s right”! “Go to Costa Rica, see that spaceship”. Thank you, Namaste.
17:36 - is when I realized it was a mistake as Duncan accidentally cast a diarrhea summoning spell with his wisdom. Started going yoga when I read this comment, 5 min later I ask god, “why me?” Fucking love yoga tho, yoga’s dope
The universe smiles upon the next guy even more but the lizard wizard knows we are all one, the weired egg will hatch someday, giving birth to eternal bliss for us all
I think that part of the reason time feels sped up, is just the screens and the access to entertainment. It feels to me like time really started speeding up around 2016, which is when I got my first software dev job and started listening to more podcasts, more youtube, and more time in front of a screen. You can evaporate hours without noticing it, whereas back in the day you'd pretty much only have whatever the T.V. was serving. Nothing could enthrall you like TH-cam can today, there's literally no end to it. Video games, podcasts, audiobooks, short-form videos, pick your poison. When you're bored, one of them will creep in. Even with traveling -- 9 hours in car is nothing to me now, in fact I love the excuse to just sit and listen to podcast and books with 3D passing scenery.
I can not express how thankful I am that you exist. I'm a recovering judger of Buddhism. You, in all of your gritty glory, have made me rethink my opinions. Thank you for being relatable. So much love to you and yours ❤❤❤
I love episodes with beautiful people like Ragu and Jack Cornfield, i listened to the movie of me to the movie of we a few months back and that was my first time hearing Ram Dass! Thank you for your podcast as well Duncan i appreciate you and your work.
Long time listener, first-time commenter. I'm grateful that you brought the idea of recreational dissatisfaction to my awareness some time ago. It changed the way I wait in line for twist cones.
Rhagu at 1:11:30. This reminds me when Ram Dass talks of the layers of the onion flaking off. You can’t peel the layers off or force them to fall off, they just do. I remember this often and it provides a great sense of feeling. Thank you both for expanding and having these conversations. Much love!
This is an amazing episode, one of the best in a long time. I have listened to this maybe 7 times and has been a catalyst for me having a reawakening and listening to ram dass and stuff again.
love how I can experience the pod twice now ;) especially the solos, those are peak rewatchability and will make an appearance in my life until the end of my days!
1:23:51 Yes! I really appreciate what Duncan says here 💗💗 Love Serve Remember has improved my life SO MUCH I did so much psychedelics and had no clue where to put that energy,, I was at the end of the road and I found Ram Dass through his movie on Netflix. I watched it and he spoke about death which I had never acknowledged my fear around. And Ram Dass spirit really filled my heart. I broke down after that and binge watched all of Ram Dass podcast episodes over the past two years. Ram Dass and love serve remember have changed the course of my life. Love serve remember is such a special thing 💗 They should be so proud of themselves for all that they do
I don’t normally comment on anything, but I love you on everything, your doing great! You my favorite Jre episodes as well! Keep up the good work! Love!
Duncan you have always had creative songs, but you’ve made a big step recently! The structure, base and support lines that compliment the melody. You consistently remind me it’s important not to tell yourself that you can’t do something just because it’s something new and intimidating.
hi duncan, i can give you some advice about how to use your camera, audio and lights if you need some help :) (i work with audio visual equipment) also that picture of the dog is so majestic i can't focus at all on whats being said but that's more of a me thing i think
The way you describe Raghu as a person who through describing their experience, teaches the path. That is how I see you, Duncan. I think that many types of artists are the spiritual teachers of our time. I put musician, Dan Deacon in that basket as well
Love you Duncan ❤ Your journey throug life is so inspiringn to so many of us. In my personal life experience I relate so much to many of your struggles, but also the special way you confront life ... Especially your sad loss of your mom, I went through the same sad deal last year and have found your way of dealing with it comforting at times.. You are awesome Duncan ...
thank you from norway. u made me make my depression better if that has any meaning. im like stilll depressed, but it's not that bad because of ur influence. thank you :)
There was a guru at a place called Yogaville, in Virginia back in the 80s in my childhood that I went to with my mom and this guru dude named Satchitananda was there and he patted my 9 year old head and it was pretty cool. Glad to see you on the tube and keep it real.
Love the new format, knocked this one out as always :) Just some minor feedback, whenever I see the Spotify notification that you dropped an episode I can't resist the urge to listen to it before the video is out usually a few days afterward - if it's at all possible to drop both the same day that would be sick, I really enjoy the video podcast but I have often cheated and listened to the audio version already which takes some of the fun away lol. Thank you and Hare Krishna!
I've been listening to your podcasts deep enough that my favorite one is the 3 and a half hour prank call to AT&T with Johnny Pemberton, I could only dream of the days with audio AND video, fuck the haters Duncan, you're doing us a service. Any flaw you see in it that's reflected in those little parasites of hateful thoughts people comment, is just the devil trying to take your other testicle because you've managed to build the power of that one into the strength of two and he doesn't like it! We're here for it as fans and couldn't be happier to see your face FINALLY! hahaha (that last jab of finally is just the one percent of devil in me that always wanted video)
I make music. There are a dozen different components that plug into other components. I sit down to record, and something's not working. Figuring out what's wrong is a pain in the ass, and when I finally fix the issue, everything sounds like sh*t. 😄 Props to you for putting in the effort to work through the technical difficulties and to get this thing up and running.
Keep it going Duncan, you are just warming up, and this will be your office. It's only natural that this quiet rage installs in when it's easier to just don't do anything at all. The stink was inside all the time dude, but now it is not there anymore.
That song @ 19:50 has been on repeat. It’s amazing and kinda creepy at the same time if you think about the future of music. The future of everything is about to change absolutely.
Knowing i can say hi is what makes this worth it. Im just gonna say here that eceti ranch finally got mentioned on joe rogan i have been waiting for the moment. I forgot about billy carson but i used to listen to him all the time on leak project and the eceti ranch podcast which is a radio show.
I am 12 and a half minutes in and cackling Duncan it feels bad to be a 40yo mom simping for comedy podcasts, I feel your pain Scouring Amazon for Way of the Peaceful Simp as soon as I'm done listening to this episode Omfg @19:44 😆😆😆😆😆 it just gets funnier and funnier
I'm in a really dark place tonight. Hearing your voice helps. I love you so much Duncan. Not in a gay way. I am really diging the shaved head though! Just know that you touch hearts and affect lives in a very profound way. I really appreciate you.
The first 20 minutes are great! I’m doing Yoga and the whole time it’s like Duncan talking to me and I’m agreeing with him. “Yup”. “That’s right”! “Go to Costa Rica, see that spaceship”. Thank you, Namaste.
He’s becoming Ragu lol with the long intros. I love Ragus long intros….took me a while though.

You can not practise propper yoga while listening to a podcast! Namaste :P
@@boreliapantefotthat’s true! My Yoga is anything but proper. It’s more like a cat trying to clean himself!

I haven't been here very long, but once I saw Midnight Gospel I haven't stopped tuning in. Thank you for all that you do ❤
