Fantastic episode, guvna'. Your comment about failure to calculate really rings true. As an adult improver, I'm constantly telling myself "stop and calculate, dummy," but I'm overwhelmed by some sort of mental block where I can't stop myself from moving too quickly.
An odd bit which appeared in at least a couple of editions of the book Modern Chess Openings, once upon a time: "The Pirc is not a fighting defense. It is fluid and slippery, with the object of closing the game and slowly equalizing, whether White opens with 1. P-K4 or 1. P-Q4."
Nice video! I love this opening since it equalizes with ease if white plays normal looking moves. Another good video idea would be to analyze different aggressive setups which white has against pirc and how to counter them!
I like seeing the less principled openings. Another video idea could be a speedrun where you 'blunder' early and show us what you do to mitigate and try to recover a losing position.
I am just Learning Philidordefense, its also this Kind opening, Yes? I was searching for example games, but there are not that much only from whites perspective, this would be nice to see how you would play this opening ☺️

Nice idea to play “second wave” opening and illustrating the need to play extra principled. Reminds me of the principled reloaded center course.
Coach Andras when are you going to release open Sicilian repertoire for club players. Love your opening analysis.
I second this
Great pirx video and the little explanation about Bf4

Nice! More Pirc please :)
Yeah, hypermodern principia is what we need, Chef
This is great stuff!
i would love to be featured in this series hahaha
Would like to see you play against the Pirc.
Ciao Maestro!!
I think you should do 2 games per video till you reach higher level as the games end very quickly
Coach explains very well, even with English accent 😁. The game was quite weakly played by White.
