Yeah, they're called minimums. They are basically contracted a specific amount of money they are paid at a minimum but can make more based on the sales of merch and photos, etc. If you saw what some of these minimums are you'd probably have a heart attack.

Next time you should simply wait until the celebrity is at that Q and A and then start shouting obscenities at them from the crowd. Security would escort you out while everyone watched and filmed it on their phones, and the next day you could check TH-cam and see their videos (giving you the visual of the celebrity for free), and better still, they'd no doubt try to make a joke about your crazy outburst in order to gear everything down after you had exited kicking and screaming. Celeb: (Ahem) "Well...obviously she should have asked for decaf this morning." (Crowd laughter) ...and outside when the head of security is dialling the cops and telling you to lawyer up, you'd faintly hear that quip and be like, "Awwww, we had a moment there! And I'll treasure it always!"

I mean, it's optional to buy a picture if you didn't bring one, but generally, we take the book/picture/comic and the artist sign it. There are also some other conventions where you buy a special ticket and the photo+meet and greet+autograph is included.

Celeb's manager forwards Celeb's contract/requirements/fee Convention usually agrees to pay a "Guarantee", a certain amount that they promise the celeb will make at the show. Any profit made after the Guarantee price of appearance is divided up by a percentage between the Celeb, their manager/handler, and the convention itself. Photo ops are usually tallied up separately as they are usually an outside company that the Convention hired to come in and work with them, but again, same thing. A percentage goes to the Photo Ops people, a percentage to the convention, and the majority to the celeb themselves and their manager/handlers. If a celeb has something like, just an example, a $5,000 guarantee, that means they need to sell 100 autographs at $50 apiece to hit that amount, and then anything afterward is divvied up. If for some reason the celeb doesn't hit that amount, the Convention will pay out of pocket to the celeb the amount that they were promised for their appearance. (I don't have any idea what guarantees are or anything, I just picked a random number amount). Hope that cleared things up for you! :)

picture looks great, but what a sucky and rude photographer! I mean I'm not a professional yet, but i like to wait for the people, and i count aloud and on my fingers 3 seconds so my models can get adjusted.
+Cyndi_Sigyn the photogs we use at our convention are very fast (they have to be to get through long lines in any decent amount of time), but they always say "Okay, ready...annd GO!" or call out a 1-2-3 count. They also check photos for glare on lenses and blinks and stuff, and will retake if the picture is obviously bad. Baylees wouldn't have been redone though, since she was just unhappy with her expression and not actually making an accidentally crazy face or had eyes closed.
