Even if he didn't do the puppet thing, his ability to sing and mimic the artist is amazing. And singing with out moving lips is just about impossible. Terry is incredibly talented.
Terry Fator used to come and perform at my elementary school for those magazine sales we had to do. I remember him coming to perform one year when I was in fifth grade and he asked us if any of us watched America's Got Talent and he broke the news he was going to be on the show to audition. I watched the whole season he was on with my parents, cheering him on and got so excited when he won.

Jeff Dunham is an established and respected ventriloquist in his own right. I do feel like there are better ventriloquists out there, such as Terry Fator, Paul Zerdin, and David Strassman. Even Darci Lynne is a fantastic talent that I think will only get better as she gets older and continues to develop her craft.

Wrex is great and has the perfect voice... Love watching these videos. I love how he keeps the "dummy" active while he is talking to the interviewer. "I'm not going to make a joke about that"... cracked me up. 🤣🤣

In no particular order of whom I like "best," etc.....Darcy Lynn Farmer, Paul Zerdin, Jeff Dunham, and Terry Fator are all incredibly excellent ventriloquists, with Darcy coming up very fast on her older, therefore more experienced, male counterparts. Love what all of you do, making ventriloquism an enjoyable, entertaining art form again!
Aside from the skill Terry described in making the sounds without the use of the lips, the second greatest skill is to get the audience to suspend their disbelief, and allow the character to be alive in their minds for the moment. That is SO important.
Actually more important than the voice. Once the audience starts watching the puppet, the more it takes them into the realm that the voice is being thrown through the puppet. While some ventriloquist can have a good number of different voices, few have the number that Terry has, especially when they can sing in the same voice.
2:45. While the ventriloquist is talking, the interviewer locks eyes with the puppet twice as the puppet looks at him. It’s a piece of wood. It’s fake. Yet, he can’t help but address the puppet with eye contact. Amazing...
I like that detail about him. Its like he was damaged from a "impact consultation" and they had to put another left foot on cuz they were running out of parts.

I did - the interview picked it up. I had originally thought it was simply twisted from his ... "assessments"...
Its not just the Vocals but the body language he gives to the Dummy is amazing...
You guys just don't get it ... this guy is so good he perfectly articulates the 'P's and 'D's that are so difficult for a ventriloquist ... notice the emphasis on the P... an d then tell me he sucks. Go ahead, try it.
