On December 19, 2023, Captain Hailey McIntyre and Ocean Rutherford made history as the first all-female tugboat crew in the 70-year history of SAAM Towage.
Growing up together in Prince Rupert, BC, the pair have pursued their dreams, overcome challenges, risen through the ranks, and continue to live life to the fullest on the water. The pair are passionate about making the maritime industry more accessible to everyone.
