I have been involved with Wildlife conservation for over fifty years. The problem with Rhino poaching is two fold. First is the Asian market for not just Rhino horn, every other species for consumption, jewelry and the hocus-pocus medicine Asian market. Combine that with the inequality in African countries and the unbelievably poor native populations, Rhino and all other wildlife there will be gone. The corruption in almost all the governments in Africa especially South Africa like Ramaphosa’s (Don,t forget he breeds endangered species for canned hunting and the illegal wildlife trade) nothing will change. All the efforts are for not until these governments are thrown out of power and their leaders prosecuted and put in jail.

That’s true but a lot of people are still protecting rhinos, especially the endangered breeds and they have started to thrive again.
