      Appreciate the comments but if you don't like the content you don't have to watch. I don't click bait, so you know EXACTLY what the video is before you click it. Otherwise I just do whatever I want in the videos. If people don't like it they don't have to watch. This is my channel and I just do whatever I want.
      With that being said the car it with Pietz performance right now getting re-tuned, off-road mid pipes, driveshaft, diff brace, etc.

      Plus several people said they love the content and this video. Clearly it's not for everyone. But I'm not going to stop producing the content I want just because some people don't like it. It's been raining nearly every day, plus I've been working on finding the right tuner. So you can wait if you wanna see more car content, or just unsubscribe and move on.

    That seems like a pretty cool unit. I have a mighty cool 12V A.C. from when I used to live in my Van the only drawback from that one is that you need an ice chest, and ice for it to blow cold, but that thing with some ice blows legit ice cold air. I think automotiveVlog has a review of it on his channel. I mean that thing seriously kicks ass, I've seen temps all the way down to like 48° come out of it in my heat soaked van. The other thing i like about my mighty cool A.C. is that it only draws about 35 watts. Well anywho congrats on the purchase and I hope it lasts a long time.

    If you saw the video, then you will notice that it was indeed a cloudy afternoon and that was the 10 minute video we did to proof zerobreeze the unit was not working -they asked us to film the video to prove it; because first we tried it 2 times while camping and it never worked, it's a shame we couldn't film it, because it was not our intention to return it or make a bad review, I wish I would have though, First time we camped in a 2 person tent, which is really small and it didn't cool during the whole night, we had 2 more small fans in the tent and even that didn't help in cooling the temperature (it was at night)!!!! no sun at all, then we camped another night in our honda fit, we parked right after being driving for more than an hour, the car wasn't hot because we had the car's ac running while driving, and the zero breeze didn't cool the space, so don't tell me it's because of the temperature, besides it says it can cool a 40' space at 101 Fahrenheit

      @@DadMods Can you use AC on the lowest setting? A lot of people and the website claims that medium setting the battery will last 5.5 hours, and high setting 3.5 hours, but what about the lowest settings?

    • @DadMods
      @DadMods  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jason Lurf the cooling at the lowest setting wouldn’t be all that great. Probably typically will be the med or high the fan is pretty slow on low so it might be over 6 hours

    • @CenobiteBeldar
      @CenobiteBeldar 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DadMods Cool, but you could run the AC on lowest setting if you wanted to? I live in Las Vegas, so the humidity here isn't all that bad during the summer time. I've got plans for a Mighty Kool K2 which is an evaporative cooler. It would be nice if you could do a review on that if you took a vacation in Las Vegas or somewhere where the humidity is low. It's also cheaper than the ZeroBreeze and has been around longer. I think since the late 80s so the design hasn't changed much up until like a couple year ago where they finely tuned it with more powerful fans, eliminated the auxillary water tank that hung over it, and some other things.

    It runs at about a hundred watts with a hard start of 160 ish. Most alternators charge vehicle batteries at 500 to 750 watts of energy with excessories taking about 250 watts of energy at normal usage. Lol, this is an awesome candidate for car camping.

    • @MAX99999
      @MAX99999 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Panic The Scholar Knight. Car alternators are build for amps. At 500 watts it is fifty amps. Now go look in your fuse box. See all those 10 15 and some 30 amp fuses? Car manufacturers do overbuild their alternators and batteries. They are not going to even give you 30 amps extra. Why would they. This cost money. Turn this on with all the lights on, defoggers and everything else that sucks up juice and you will have an issue especially in tiny cars with tiny batteries. (Ie: smaller reserve) and tiny alternators.

    can you do a video where you test this unit in a non aircond car, like a classic car or old jeep, showing temperature difference outside, inside, and after running 10 to 15 minutes, of course with the vent pipe installed to outside. if this makes a huge difference, it's for sure worth $900 for my old cars.

    • @yaelm631
      @yaelm631 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because how the things works, you aren't gonna make the whole temperature of the car colder, you would heat up the same way of a resistor that consumes the same amount of power.
      Because this machine put the heat that was in the cold air the machine blows, into the exaust pipe. If that pipe isn't outside the place you want to lower temp, the system will increase the temparature of your car.

    I’m putting a trunk camper together soon (A.R.E. cap/topper over an 8-foot bed), and finding an AC solution is driving me up the wall. I don’t want to permanently mount a small window AC since the caps are so flimsy and it looks so ghetto driving down the road, but I have a solution where I can mount a small 5000 BTU when I get to my site.
    I would gladly go for a grand for this if it really WORKED cooling the space (with venting it of course), but I’m in steamy South Florida. Plus, since the battery only lasts 8 hours (probably less), you gotta charge it ANYWAY via shore power or generator, even for just an overnight trip. So at this point, my cheap $149 window unit makes more sense.
    IF this thing could get my space down to COLD temps, I might consider it. I love cold and I’m an old fart whose body needs preservation by refrigeration. So I would even purchase an extra battery too. But how can I take the chance it’ll get as cold as I want?
    It’s hell hot where I camp.
    ---------
    EDIT:
    I just thought about this some more.
    If I buy this WITHOUT a battery, I can still run it via generator or shore power. So at $600 (if that is indeed the current price, haven’t checked yet), that’s only $450 more than my window unit, and I wouldn’t have to mess with rigging my temporary window installation solution. And the Zero Breeze would be a lot more flexible, convenient to use.
    If only I could be sure this will do the job! But I’m leaning towards yes since the space I’m talking about is so small. This might be the answer I’ve been looking for.

    • @DadMods
      @DadMods  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that makes sense I don’t think it’ll cool nearly as well as the Window unit. But the window unit uses a lot more power than the small AC does.

    Although I am impressed that they built an actual compressor based battery operated AC, it's very disappointing that they went with the single exhaust hose design. Single hose portable AC's pull hot outside air into the space you're trying to cool which makes them so inefficient that they don't even bother putting an efficiency rating on them. This is especially troublesome when you're trying to stretch the limited available power from a battery.

    • @DadMods

    It’s nice and very good idea brother but it’s expensive, can’t you find us something cheaper?

    • @DadMods
      @DadMods  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah this is the cheapest and smallest real AC. Everything else relies on some form of stored energy cold (ice) meaning you cannot keep it on a shelf for 6 months then use it which for me wouldn't suit my needs.

    A deep cycle battery would be cheaper and last longer so screw the battery idea. I think you could even get a H. F. Solar charger for your deep cycle battery. No one sits outside with an A/ c unit blowing on them. I would get one for camping. A small generator would work for it. I wonder if you reversed it you could use it as a heater. I doubt it would work in a larger area. A tent would be it.

    Too inefficient, youre better off with an ac unit or split ac than this joke, and with that price tag you'd have to have too much money to know what to do with it or just be a fool. Dont buy this gimmick.

      lol.. Probably not the worst idea ever. But what I can do is be cool while i'm waiting to race. But it's something you could use while working on the car when it's blistering hot out.
