Man this is really hitting me hard, I got in from work after midnight and checked to see if it was out and listened and loved it, and was like wait I gotta hear this again and today over and over and read the lyrics and my heart sank and just wanted to get out that I'm so sorry about what you went through, some shit like that but just repeated assault happened to my husband and led to an opiate addiction leaving him incarcerated off and on for the next 17 years and some of that is the justice system... But there's different outlets to take and your primary it seems to us is music and you've excelled at that and it's why your words are so deep. We can't see what goes on beneath the surface but know you always have a community to talk to. Writing back messages and responding to everyone is impossible and isn't helpful to you. But reaching out is something you can do, some people have no one, and above all that, everyone handles everything differently and what works for others doesn't work for someone else. It seems from your lyrics you gotta great mom that lets you cope and grow as you see you need to which is amazing. He does too, his mom has been there through whatever he does, bad or good. I've got two photos in particular on my phone, one the day he was born with her and her huge 1996 bangs and smile and another when he first got out of his longest bid in ga, towering over her with face tattoos and his history and record, arm n arm, ...same smile from her. He's got 2.25 years left and it's so hard every day. He introduced me to your music a few years ago and then this one comes out and I wish I could play it for him over the phone. Just know to keep going if it's helping and you got a world of community that supports you and has your back. And never feel pressured to have to write us all back cus that is insane but we got you, nick,, guardin, this one is beautiful. Your voice flows with the melody and it's just made from your soul. I admire how you handle past demons. I got my own and haven't figured out how to voice them to anyone yet and it's still dark secrets that keep cooped up.
