►Nail polish and products used◄
-Madam Glam - Peel Off Base Coat
-Madam Glam - Perfect Black
-Madam Glam - No Wipe Top Coat

►Step-by-Step◄
-Start out with clean dry nails and apply your base coat
-Apply black gel polish as your base color, and cure
-Apply a coat of the gel adhesive & cure
-Apply the foils to each nail in a random pattern
-Finish with gel top coat & cure

I don't do nail foils often, but these are the best results I ever had! (After some admittedly disappointing results you'll be able to see in the livestream archive/extended tutorial) And they wore decently as well. But I feel like I still have lots to learn, so I'll definitely be playing more with this foil gel.

I have to say that this is my favorite nail foil look. I’m generally not a fan of foils because the pattern never comes out perfectly clean. For this it really works though.

This is so awesome! I may have been misinformed but don’t you need a “special” foil top coat?
if using with regular polish yes, you need a water based top coat - normal top coats can crinkle & fog the foils, basically ruining the pattern. Gel also works well, and shouldn't mar the design in most cases.
Colette, I remember when you first started using Madam Glam peel off base coat you had trouble getting it off are you still having trouble. Because I'm thinking about using it but only if it works. I read a comment where a woman said it messed up her nails so I'm very hesitant now. Please let me know how it works for you. Thank you
I have had a few problems with it (a few times it is stubborn to remove and that can cause a bit of nail peeling), but overall it's OK for gel - I would not use it for normal polish again, I stick with Ready for Takeoff for that.
I love the look! Can this be achieved using non-gel polishes?
Maybe, but top coating foils with non-gel can be problematic. water based top coats to me don't leave a very glossy finish, and normal top coats will crinkle the foils
@@MSLP what if I used a water based topcoat, then a glossy over that?
@@sneezersmom in my recent testing even that crinkles =( but I feel like there must be a way to make it work, need to play with it some more eventually

Do you find gel polish ruins your natural nails?
I haven't had any problem with it, but I almost always use it with a peel off base. When I do a full gel mani I just make sure to soak it off gently, no picking at it.
My Simple Little Pleasures Ok thamks I'm getting some gel polish & I've got a led lamp so I'm going to try it out.
To me these look like snowflakes or Christmas ornaments. Bit out of season...? No, I guess they could be disco lights too. (Are they meant to be fireworks?)
the foil has kind of a burst design on it - the original idea was to highlight it but I couldn't get a good complete transfer on all my nails. So I was originally thinking fireworks, but this design is more just abstract red white (well, silver) and blue.
