100% Molly. We're in Lockdown #5 here in Melbourne, Australia and this was a very special gift. Thank you Kristian and the crew for making things brighter.
I was praying for a rerelease of this absolute gem. I had my now-ex wife watch this with me when it premiered, and watching it again brings back such beautiful memories
Time to listen again 2:28 there's no leaving now 9:25 I'll be a sky 14:36 Moonshiner (Traditional song) 21:28 King of Spain 27:37 The Gardner 33:56 The running styles of New york 40:40 On every page 46:48 Cycles (Gayle Caldwell - Frank Sinatra) 51:36 Original Intro 52:28 Love is All 59:00 Original Intro 1:00:05 Wind and Walls 1:04:14 Dark bird is home ❤ 1:12:24 Dreamer 1:17:26 Rivers 1:21:33 I'm a Stranger now 1:25:50 Änglen i rummet (Eva Dahlgren)
That version of Dark Bird is Home is among the more stunning pieces of live music I have heard in a lifetime. What a piece of soulful magic this small movie is. Thank you...
It was amazing guys. The music, the film, the mood. the people, everything. Thank you! So many emotions, so weird, so natural, so real. I love how Kristians voice is getting more mature, more "bluesy", hows his performance aging as nicely as a bottle of wine. Being even more honest and true as time goes by. A silent shoutout to you buddy, whereever you are. You were never alone, we were never alone thanks to you and your music. You were with me when i was a lost dreamer, a weirdo teenager, laying under the stars trying to find my place in the world. And im listeining to your show now more than a decade later, next to some beers as a family man. Thank you for everything. Please always stay that true to yourself and the emotions you carry, even if it feels a bit crazy. After all we are just Kids on the run!
This is a sorely underrated movie from my favorite team of artists, filmmakers, and musicians. I saw it live when it first premiered and I’m so happy to see it again today.
Tallest man got me through some rough times in life. It's hard to listen even now without feeling those same, heavy feelings surfacing. To me, his music does more to express emotion than just about any other form of art.
🤔 Hmm Thank you for this. Just wrote a rambling comment and then internet disappeared it, then I scroll just a little more down, and your comment kind of touches on what I wrote. So thank you 💚
Man, i always remember the day i saw your live video of "Revelation blues". It changed me, it gave me a purpose to keep getting better at the guitar and not be afraid of making a mistake. Since then, i watched every performance here on youtube. Sadly, i don't know if i will ever be able to see you live, but your music never leaves my side. Just know that.
This was an beautiful consert to be attending! The sound, lights and setting was amazing, just perfect! Cos it was cold outside the soup and small fires to catch warm with was a great jeasture aswell! Yeah.. it was a evening to remember. We all could see that the crew had a great time togeather.
This is so overwhelmingly lovely that it almost makes up for all the shit that happened during the past year and a half. Thank you Kristian, this is so much more than just a video 🙏
I’d never seen this until this evening. So glad it came upon me. It was awesome to see Klara and First Aid Kit in Boston, MA and then Kristian in Portsmouth, NH within a couple of weeks of each other this year! Only lamenting that the Watchhouse gigs got interrupted.
Without any doubt, this is the one Video on TH-cam that i watched with the fullest enjoyment. Clearly no other artist and no other filmmaker could ever bring something so magical to table. Thank you Rolf, thank you Kristian for such inspiration, passion and ease. I couldnt watch it all the way through. I split it up and only watched one song at a time to fully emprace and commemorate every feeling each song gave to me. This Video simply is art in its finest form.
hey man, this is really helping me hang on as I'm reeling with fear, struggling to breathe in hospital. I plug in some headphones, put it on, and let it wash over me at night. a tiny little pocket pocket of calm in my heart. thank you xo
My big wedding was postponed from 2020 to 2021 and then the mini wedding we had planned so his dying grandmother could make it was also ruined by covid and such. My husband and I went to our favorite hiking spot alone and exchanged vows and rings on our original date. I brought a Bluetooth speaker and we had our tiny little two person wedding in the woods to your songs. ❤️
The version of Dark Bird is Home is impeccable. Moves my soul and body each time I listen to it, which is rather often. Unreal strumming pattern too. Much love to you for this incredible film.
Good lord the Cycles cover…..so fantastic. Thanks for making this available again. I’ve been waiting since last November to watch it again. See you in DC in March!!!!
I’ve been waiting for this for forever! I’m making my own music and I hope one day I can eventually tour with you. Thank you for making this amazing docufilm Rolf!
I discovered and loved a song of yours over 12 years ago, and now i get to rediscover you. And there were a few happy tears in the first half, don't know why. Du är så himla bra, ni är alla där så väldigt bra. Tack för filmen!
Duuuuude. Thank you. Just thank you. The Fran Mug shot just made a lovely little electric connection between Geneva NY (my stomping ground) and Wherever the Hell that Barn Is, Sweden. You were so clearly giving 1000%.
Your music and the efforts you've put into sharing it over the last year have been such a brilliant light in a time void of so many comforts. Thank you! Would love to see you perform in Atlanta someday!
Kristian, that version of The Running Styles of New York is just really really really special. Your songs have meant so much to me over the years, and I miss driving around the country, and sometimes to different countries to watch you play. Hopefully soon but even if it never happens again, I’m just so grateful for the moments you have shared with me (and the rest of the audience as we are all one out there). I fuckin’ love you dude
I’m so excited to attend your concert on March 12th in Philadelphia. Thank you for sharing your music with the world. Honestly, it’s such a loving experience, I can’t wait to see you live
Got real lucky and managed to get ahold of tickets for a show here in Sweden last summer. Was basically the same as the video, except for that fact that it was a different barn. The weather was beautiful and warm, that venue was really small (about 50 people) and the show was absolutely amazing. Definitely a memory for life! :)
omg i love it that u released this!!! I searched the internet everywhere couple of weeks ago to watch it but couldn't find it anywhere and now finaly I will watch it Love U!! come to Belgium! ;)))
Almost forgot I brought the boyfriend to see you in which country is it between NL and Belgium ?? (maybe Belgium 🤔) for his birthday (in May) many . . or at least a few . . years ago. Only because of him that I know of you .. he was mad about your work, and shared so many of your songs with me, via his own playing of. Now that we parted ways (after almost ten years together), it is bittersweet to watch this. Familiar surreal fragments of song memories like thru a frosted feeling filter .. don't know what I feel or should feel.. but the beauty and the soul of the film maker has reached in and touched my heart .. Makes me wanna finish watching it .. soon ☺️ Go raibh maith agat (thanks!) I love hearing when ye speak also, it reminds me of one of my fave films, *As it Is in Heaven* ,... multi layered inner feedback on the Red Barn flick. Thanks again 🌀
Hi Kristian! Thanks for such an awesome show.. I especially enjoyed "Cycles" I was wondering what effect/gear you are using for that song? Is it a synthesizer running separately or a guitar effect/pedal? Ik its a slim chance you'll answer... but it's really a beautiful sound. Much love from MA!
Incredible there’s no leaving now what a song this has to be in my ears when I die love you can’t wait to see in Montréal hit me up will go fishing and play music 🎶🤠
40:40 had to laugh, I've been learning on every page on and off for years and he just rips the most beautiful version and makes me look like a beginner guitarist
Rolf Nylinder. is the man.
I cannot tell you how many times I've been itching to watch this again. What a beautiful bright spot in a dark year.
Exactly what I've been thinking since November :"When will I be able to enjoy this movie again?" and tonight's the night

This version of Moonshiner is beautiful beyond words. Truly outstanding.
I just watched this with a struggling friend -- and now they understand music, art and love. Pass it on.

Been listening to Tallest man since I was 19...man time flies. My summer cottage albums.
same darling, grateful to be together through the years with you! Sonic friends.
Same. It’s so palpable how he connects deeply with so many people.
That transition from Wind and Walls into Dark Bird is outstanding. Great version...must now acquire a 12-string to keep in strange tunings for this.
I love the transition as well, was just thinking the same when I saw your comment about it
Thank you so much
Good to 'meet' you buddy. Thoughtful questions x
@@jimmahgee it was absolutely great!
A wonderfully haunting intro to Winds & Walls.

It’s crazy how much more comfortable he seems since a lot of his older performance footage. Cool to see him so happy and into it ❤️
Rolf Nylinder has made for us a beautiful thing.
hey man, this is really helping me hang on as I'm reeling with fear, struggling to breathe in hospital. I plug in some headphones, put it on, and let it wash over me at night. a tiny little pocket pocket of calm in my heart. thank you xo
Best thing I've seen in ages, and that live version of my favourite song Dark Bird is Home melts my heart.. Wow. Just wow
That wind and walls arrangement about had me bouncing off the walls with excitement.
