This has been super helpful. I was always mystified by how digital artists managed to draw the perfect outline of their characters since no one seemed to explain it when they showed off.

This has been a great help. I came here to see how the Quick Mask works and learned a whole lot more on QM's and combining selection and using the overlapping feartures. Many thanks for sharing..👍👍❤

3 AM and I'm confusing myself what is different between "Quirk Mask and Selection Layers" but now I get it. Thank you Teacher.

If you have to manually fll up+ draw again then no need to go for masking/ selection layer. You can just use additive magic wand selection tool for the selction, or fill it on a seperate layer then ctrl+click on the new layer icon from layer window to get the selection.

The nice thing is having all these tools available means each artist can tailor how they want to approach their work. Though I usually arrange colors on different layers, I've found many uses for selection layers. I admit I don't use the quick mask feature often, but I have found it useful on occasion, so it's just good to know it's there if needed. :)

thank you so much. you have no idea how many tutorials and videos I've been through trying to understand the program. I've got a really bad memory and nothing sticks to it, especially with much information. this was really easy to follow, it was short and good. plus with the help of the chapters i can look back when I've forgotten again.

I'm glad I could help! My memory is not too great either, and honestly making the videos helps concepts stick in my brain a little better too sometimes. :)
