Everything they've done in this movie validates the title this movie is one of my favourite films it's so funny try to recapture it with the sequel but this will always be the most funniest film

When they shot the current ending, the studio wanted Harry and Lloyd to get on the bus with the Hawaiian Tropic models, but Carrey and the Farrelly brothers refused, citing the fact that the characters are supposed to be dumb.

Plot twist: The girls on the bus are actually evil succubus slashers and Harry and Lloyd would've been murdered in standard horror movie fashion. That's why the girls are disappointed they don't get on. Easy prey that was (ironically) too smart for them.

I think the thing I like most about this scene is that the girls were actually devastated to not have specifically these 2 strangers on the road. They looked actually sad to not have these 2. There was no fake offers, this was 100% there first choice.

The original ending called for Lloyd and Harry to get on the bus with the girls. It was changed because Jim Carrey felt that the two men were so stupid that they wouldn't know what to do with all of those beautiful women, so it was changed to this.

And in "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd", both Harry and Lloyd fell for Jessica Matthews which ended up getting them involved in a dangerous fraud/embezzlement scheme with the corrupt school principal. And in "Dumb and Dumber To", Lloyd fell for Harry's daughter Penny. If this movie ever ended with them getting on that bus full of women, who knows what wouldve happened to their friendship?
Tbh You know as I get older, the more I relate to characters like Loydd and Harry, like not in terms of dumbness, but just trying to make my way through life, 22, I have no clue wtf to do, many are in the same boat, new jobs, new experiences, and I watch this film and it gives me the confidence to just keep pushing on oddly enough, I can’t really explain it but this movie and particular ending where they are back on tbe road❤
