Fr, the vocals sound like they were just driven through a pre amp half way while making it sound sizzly. this is why I hate any TH-cam mixing videos, every time the vocal still sounds like crap
Trick is to use very very little effect on all of them and keep them all parallel with at least -10 db . The pultec by UAD has a better effect. Waves emulation is worse

You can get FL for or studio one for like a 100 dollars bro. Time to move to a better DAW. No disrespect to audacity or what you can create. It’s just nice having better tools.
