Are you serious? You put only short sample of recording and called your video Hear the Diffference.... Man, you shoud record at least 10 minutes kf samples with different tracks.
When using an iPhone, the higher bitrate provided by aptX Adaptive is not being used (assuming the files played are WAV or Hi-Res). Hence, the full capabilities of the headphones' wireless sound won't be appreciated. Electronic music also lacks a lot of instrumentation, critical when assessing instrument separation, imaging, resolution and timbre. Just some observations in case you perform a second round of testing. Thanks for your time, dedication and opinions 👍
I've had the PX8, Focal Bathys and H95. Given all aspects (telephone, ANC, sound quality, build quality) I chose the Focal and I'm happy. The PX8 offers a ridiculously low sound quality for the money (personally I would be fine with 450 Euro) and the H95 offers a ridiculously bad telephone quality while transparency mode on.
Ok... read this. This man doesn't know what he is talking about. PX8 are one (if not the best) of the best headphones on the market ! I have them all. The only one that comes close is the bathys. They are a little bit louder, but they lack a lot in bass. The soundstage is better with the px8. Details are better with the bathys. Wired, the bathys are the best on the market, due to their dac amp. But wireless, px8 are the best for me. The H95 are most for classic, blues, jazz, soft rock, instrumentals. They lack a lot in the bass region, and the volume is too low. I listened to them 2-3 hours and that's it. For metal, edm, alternative, they are the worst of the bunch. Hope this help
@@Patrickmathieu0482 I spent an hour with the PX8 and H95 today and I have to agree with OP. The PX8 sounds muddy and boomy to me compared to H95. Played around with the sound settings for both and H95 had much better sound options in the app. To me the tighter but deeper bass on the H95 sounds so much better and also the same goes for the highs. Music was metal like Opeth, Katatonia, early Entombed, MGLA, Meshuggah etc so a mix of really heavy and fast metal to classical. I love the looks of the PX8 and was actually there for them, so it was a disappointment. I guess its just a matter of taste.
@@Nizzon. The PX8 default tuning seem to have been voiced for specific genre of music that lack bass, so they had it boosted a bit. But once you turn it down like -4 on the app, you will find that it has the more "complete" bass sound vs. the H95. More textured, more dynamic, more lively.
Why would you have the volume at 100%? I would never listen to any audio equipment at 100% and no audio equipment is at it's best at 100 %. What was the intention behind this?
Yooooooo, that beat you choose for the sound demo is so f***ing good 🔥 lol what’s the name? or where can I find more stuff like that? I want more of whatever that was. I think the test was perfect, I was able to hear the same beat/tones from each headphone and it was why I decided to pull the trigger on the Focal, I must have watched 50+ videos in the spam of 2 days to try and make a decision without going to the store lol I appreciate your work!
Borrowed the Bathys and PX8 for a week before finally choosing the PX8 for sheer musicality and verve. The Focal was surprisingly sterile to me, being an owner of 2 awesome wired headphones from the brand. Would love to get my hands on an H95 soon.
I have owned the PX8 for a year now, I bought them without even so much as a sound test, also own MAX and XM5, there is no comparison when it comes to sound, PX8 are far superior, when comparing them to BATHY'S and B&O, which I have trialed, they have more musicality and richer signature, when I first got them they were a little base muddy, but after at least 150 hours of listening, they actually got a lot better, Is it true you can actually break in a pair of headphones? I believe so!
@@kundakaps I returned them. Played them over night a few times and nothing changed. The sound is nowhere near worth $900 lol. The beoplay ex earbuds sound great, so I’ll stick with them.

What didn't you like in them (any particular weak points)? Boomy bass, recessed midrange, sibilant or metallic treble, small soundstage or just the overall timbre? Thanks for your opinion 👍🏼
Hey there! Great video, thanks!👍 Could you please tell me if what headphones are good for audiobooks and podcasts in terms of natural, clear and pleasant-sounding voices? I got the Bose QC Ultra on Amazon, and they sound good for my purpose. However, I'm considering if they're worth the money solely for podcasts and audiobooks, or if I should switch to something else with better sounding voices. Money isn't an issue when it"s worth that. What do you think about that? Thanks in advance."
I have the b&w and when i connect to my iphone they sound not that great but when i connect to my old samsung s20 ultra, they are amazing. Please use android too, to verify.
Most of the assessments made in the video don't quite match what the sound samples demonstrate. So I'm confused. Listened using a pair of wired Focal (Clear OG), so it's not my headphones that's the problem.
Hey bro, thanks for the reviews of each headphones. I gotta ask, why did you leave out Apple AirPods Max in your review??? I believe they’re worth competitor, imo.
yeah you are right on that. But I actually compared the airpods max individually quite a few time with all these headphones. So thought I would skip. But thinking it again maybe i was a bad idea
Don't trust this test. I have the PX8 and they don't sound at all like they do here in this ridiculous test. The sound of the PX8 is light years away from sounding like that.
I very much question the value of playing audio samples because the recording equipment and, especially, the listener's headphones will color the sound. You can't get around that. In this particular case, I own both the PX8 and the Bathys and your recordings don't come close to capturing the audio quality and, especially, the sound stage of either headphone, which are very different. And all the recordings sound like they have clipping distortion and overall mediocre audio quality; ironically, the headphones you say have the least distortion had the most in your samples. I think the best you can do is articulate the audio differences you hear, which I give you credit for doing. So to anyone playing this video, skip the audio samples and go right to the commentary.
Focal sounded better.... The rest are too coloured, either too much low end or shrill high ends. I'm quite surprised the H95 didn't blow me away as I expected.
These audio tests are stupid as hell, it's almost as if they're entirety of it is redundant given, you literally will be hearing the sound through your ALREADY COLOURED speakers
To all those who read reviewers' reviews of Bowers & Wikins PX8, please don't believe them at all because I am Singaporean and purchased my Bowers & wikins on 18th September 2023 from Jaben Singapore. Totally disappointing and not cheap at SGD 935.00. The sound quality is a complete let down as they claim the sound is ever so good I can honestly tell you it is complete rubbish why the bass frequencies are very boomy and muddy sound instead of clean bass. The mid-range vocals are very suppressed and lack richness and warmth. After adjusting the equalizer settings, the high frequencies are very bright sounding. The noise canceling is the worst, when I turn on the active noise canceling I 100% hear the noise of the standing fan wind spinning. Overall, everything claimed by those reviewers on TH-cam is untrue as they did not purchase the Bowers & wikins PX 8 themselves but loaned it to them for review purposes only. Please note, if not, you will regret it after buying it with your hard-earned money! ! ! ! ! !
Everything compared here are even worse at ANC than PX8, so this is not the place to complain about its ANC. For that just look at Sony XM5 or Bose. Not the same sound quality, though. And I don't know what you're talking about when complaining about PX8 sound. Just turn down the bass -4 on the app, it's better than everything compared here except the Bathys, which would be a toss up depending on personal taste.
How about more recordings with a longer time with each headphone using different types of music?
dude pick a song man, this audio piece is just not a perfect piece to hear for a sound sample.
